Saturday afternoon I was leveling with my party in the infernal hell hole known as Crawler's Nest. It was me (Norrain)a dragoon named Raystlin, 2 ninjas Play and... uhh cant remember the other guys name, redmage Iyojimbol, and bard Thiefninja. We had had a very good party and were getting pretty confident in our prowess as a group (which is usually when things go south, oh and they did) We were fighting a rumble crawler and we had one spawn on us. This wasnt really a problem as Thiefninja put it to sleep and we kept on fighting... and then another one spawned on us. We tried backing away from it before its aggro started up, and we were rewarded with finding out that 2 more had spawned in the room behind us. YIKES. We did our best to try and escape the situation but me(WHM) and the redmage went down fast as well as the ninja whos name I cant recall. Thiefninja somehow ended up with the aggro and hauled *** down the tunnel to give some of the other party members time to escape to the zone. Well apparently she managed to die near another party and got some of them killed. Sepukku was in this party and just wouldnt let it go. I reraised and started resting after sneaking myself and slowly but surely brought the party back to life. Sepukku starts ******** at Thiefninja calling her an MPKer and on and on. One of the people from Seps group even sent me a tell apologizing for her/his assish behavior. Thiefninja apologized several times but it didnt matter. Sep started ******** at us to move and not take their camp (we were just recovering from raise effects) so we moved down the tunnel a bit. I received a tell from Seps pt member again saying to watch our backs because Sepukku wanted revenge BAD. Well we all wait heal to full and we start pulling again. No sooner do we make our first pull when down the tunnel comes (and I have to be honest with you it was a very impressive train) a bunch of Crawlers headed by Sepukku who promptly dies in the middle of our pt. Havoc ensues... everyone ran or died.
I have never seen Sepukkus name mentioned in a bad light before here really, and was wondering if this was actually my parties fault and if you all feel we got what we deserved. After Sep killed my party I was less than polite with her... even shot her a few mom jokes and what not... hehe ::pats self on back:: way to go Norr stoop down to her level. I never really felt what we did was that terrible but I would like the opinions of my fellow peers on this server. Thanks

Wow sepukku had no right to do what he did. Thiefninja pulled the train away from party, not to entrance right, and did not know there were other parties down the tunnel?

An interesting story which probably happens to most people at one point or another.
There are two different answers to your question.
One, if Thiefninja was planning on killing herself when she wasn’t near other parties, but just got caught, then it was not your party’s fault.
Two, if Thiefninja was just trying to zone and got herself killed, then it was HER fault.

Sepukku, whoever he/she is, is a noob for even doing such a thing in the act of “revenge.”
Somebody did this to one of my parties because we “took their camp.”
They all left for at least ten minutes, so we moved in.
We were fighting Mandragora at the time and they just try and move back in with us already there.
Their party leader disbanded the party, switched to a lvl1 job and trained Gobs to us in an attempt to kill us.

My suggestion would be to just tell a GM if Sepukku continues to act like a nooblet.
Don’t feel bad, you did nothing wrong.
Give it a day or so and you’ll be over it.
Hope that helps!

Im not really angry or anything. As a matter of fact I found the whole thing rather hilarious. I just wanted to make sure that my party hadnt done something wrong and actually deserved some kind of... deckplate justice or something. I can assure you that Thiefninja ran the complete opposite way of the entrance to the cave knowing full well she might not be able to be revived. She also apologized multiple times. I guess all I can say is Sepukku is a bit hot headed so watch out lest ye get trained.

There are so many better ways to MPK someone without training to their camp and dying.

Well, anyways, I don't think you were in the wrong. Lots of things can go wrong in a tight crowded space like Crawler's Nest. This is something people tend to forget.

And remember, it's just experience points. It can be gotten back and is no big deal to lose.

Well well...its been 48 hours since last once, time for another sepukku hate thread. And dont blame this on me, my whole PT from the other day will confirm your BRD running right up to us, standing in the middle of our PT and waited 5 seconds to die. Our Whole PT was pissed, some of them even offered to MPK you, I said no guys let me do it, I have warp. There. You MPKed 5 of 6 people in my PT, you got it back. Go die where you know theres NO ONE AROUND next time. You know our PTs camp was commonly used, why you couldnt just run to the middle of nowhere and die is beyond me, theres a spell "Tractor" for a reason.

Did it ever occur to you that if you have a hate thread made about you ever 48 hours, there might be a reason for it? I don't know you, but things I've heard about you from friends and posted on the board makes me glad that I don't.

I'd like to share my own little Sepukku story. Sepukku was part of a party that I was in this week that included a MNK(Decrebaud), a good friend of mine who is a THF(Rhizocephalous), a BLM(Pyrix), a RNG (Lokithor), Sepukku, and myself.

We were in Kuftal Tunnel and we were just starting to fight. We pulled a robber crab and we were doing fine until a nearby haunt happened to agro our monk. There weren't any other partys around and we were close to the zone so we just zoned. Unfortunately, Decrebaud died but he was very cool about it.

There was a fair amount of grumbling for some reason (really one death is not much to get worried about) but we headed back in anyways. When we got there we found that there was another party in our original camp. This didn't make any of us super happy, but there was nothing we could do about it so we found a new camp. Sepukku, who was very upset by the other party being in our old spot, went out searching for a new camp supposedly even though we had already found one. Suddenly we see Sepukku's macro saying he's pulling a haunt. This confused the hell out of us, because we didn't know what he was up to. We all zoned and we ask Sepukku why he pulled a haunt. He responded, "I got agro and I didn't want to die," which would be a decent excuse had he not done it on purpose. We go back in and see that the haunt that Sepukku pulled killed almost the entire party that had been in our spot. It was at that point we realized what had happened. From the point of view of our RNG, it turns out that Sepukku had pulled the haunt up a cliff from a far enough distance that he could zone and the haunt would lose agro on him right in the middle of the other party. The party pretty much broke up after that because no one wanted to party with someone as dishonest as Sepukku. Our poor monk leader got bombarded with angry tells from the other party for having someone like Sepukku in his party. I hope Decrebaud's reputation hasn't taken a hit from this situation because he is really a good guy. I hope that people will take this story and the one in the original post as cautionary tales of why you shouldn't invite Sepukku to your party.

Trains happen, it's part of the game. Although it probably would have been better for thiefninja to die away from a party, his numerous genuine apologies should show that he wasn't trying to mpk purposefully.

Sepukku, you're really getting to be infamous around the server. I've read many accounts of acts of poor judgement and integrity by our fellow players.

I wouldn't consider us friends, possibly acquaintances. I know it doesn't matter much, but don't be surprised if I'm not as friendly to you in game.

2 days ago I got to have a little run in with this infamous a$$ myself. It wasnt the worst thing in the world he did, but it just confirms he is full of sh*t. Im in a party in the dunes, and our puller has to leave so we find another, well sure enough our party leader invited good old Sep. I first say oh no, ive heard about you on allakahzam, and he responds that this forum is for only low levels and not worth his time to post, and he only posts to defend himself, lmao sep, so starting a thread about waitmagic is only posting to defend yourself?. Well ok, he says he has a power leveler, im thinking ok, ill believe it when I see it. So we start following him to go camp snippers. By the tunnel he stops to talk to Diminicanknight and Makoholic, so I think they are the pl's, even though mako is there in lvl 10 equip. So after the many stops by sep we get to where we are going to camp. sep sits down, im thinking ok, wtf, he has full health. He logged right there, and left us hanging. The dumba$$ proably just felt stupid cause he never had a powerlevel in the first place, which didnt even matter, I just wanted to fight.

Lionsfan, anyone who talks to Dominicanknight can't be trusted in my books. The first time I saw that guy, he tried to "buy" my BF's gear from him for some insane amount. We'd just started playing so we didn't know much. But we played safe and my BF just told him no thanks. Since then, we've seen him so many times making this "deal" with Newbies.

As for Sepukku. Haven't partied with him. Never will. Anyone who feels the need to exact childish vengeance like this is ... well... a child.

In response to Tethys's whining, Jabewobe can CONFIRM me staying with the party i ACCIDENTALLY killed and back-up curing/haste-ing them from the side as a 7th person as my way of paying my debt for accidentally killing them.
#15 Oct 15 2004 at 4:32 PM Rating: Decent
Awww Seppy so youre saying YOU ACCIDENTALLY KILLED SOMEONE ? omg so it happens ? wow ? my god... you mean the party you killed didnt try and kill you with a train after you did it to them ? Oh im sure a few hastes and cures more than made them happy with you... your nickname should be Jesus. Learn by the example that party you slew "accidentally" set.
#16 Oct 15 2004 at 7:18 PM Rating: Default
Actually Tethys wasnt in the PT that died. She was in my PT.
#17 Oct 16 2004 at 9:16 AM Rating: Decent
Nobody said Tethys wasnt Sep"Jesus"kku, The only point I was trying to make is you yourself admitted to "accidentally killing another party" oh wait...let me go ahead and quote that right from one of your posts.

You said it yourself Sep accidents happen... not every incident has to be MPK and revenge time. Thats what this post is all about.

Im by no means denying to having acidentally killing them, I was merely denying those who accused me of having a motive of it being intentional. I have no problems admitting mistakes
