Yeah i just posted in the summoner forum what i had conlcuded about summoner and some how i got rated down from 4.00+ to default. I know karma may not matter to others but will anyone help me out >_< I sorta like my posts to be seen by others not just be filtered out cause people think default posts are worthless when it was just some troller(s) who didn't like my opinion and took it out on me >_<

If you want a rate up just post below. This is sorta like my feel good thread i did last week on "Who wants a rate up?"

Post below and i will rate u up. Will u do the same for me? (^_^)

Yea i get those a lot too. When people come into a forum and post **** knowing it will turn into a flame war. I dont post back with the intent to support or to flame anyone (just my opinion on the topic) and i always get slammed.

I could always use a rate up ^^ and I agree that people rate others down for silly reasons. You can be nice, logical, and thought out but people still rate you down because your view counters theirs. But! oh well, nothing we can do about it but things like this and continuing to speak our minds... cause the only other option is to not speak your mind, censur yourself, and walk like an egyptian ^^

Just wondering... I mean if you hate getting rate downs for stupid reasons then shouldnt you dislike getting a rate up for no reason at all ? What exactly do people qualify as a rate up worthy post ? What do you qualify as a rate down worthy post?

It seems as if people get rated down, and up on their opinions and the people who agree and disagree with them. So I suppose the system could be regarded as a method of checks and balances; ... even throwing the moron factor in I would have to say it should probably still be pretty evenly balanced because I am sure there are people that are over rate up friendly ^^. I dunno I like to see that people enjoy my posts or think highly of them I also like it when someone dislikes my post ( I just wish there was a way that I could tell who was rating me up or down or whatever, if there was I bet you would see a whole lot less of both, oh and if their is ... hehe I guess Im a dumb ***)

Please dont rate me up just because I posted here ^^ I just like all of you like to throw in my 2 cents on things.

I rated you up because you said something I agree with ^.- Yet if someone is going to rate me down for silly reasons then there should be a way to get rate up for silliness. As you said there should be a balance. ^^

I also think that most people don't know that simply clicking the tab and then selecting a rating for the post is all there is. By that I mean, I think most people do not know they have to click on 'rate post' at the bottom. ^^ I say this because I never did until I took the time to look and figure it out after first reading this post. lol

i feel sorry for anyone whos worried about a rating their posts get.. who cares? :[ if i was rated to a 0 does that mean my account is deleted? if not who cares even more, if so who still cares, even more more?

Who the hell cares what your allakahzam rating is? I rate up when i found a post helpful, and down when someones just being an idot (not by their oppinions). Seems some trolls have been stalking me recently too :(

If only these boards were more about helping eachother out, and not complaining about what some idiot did. ONLY IN MY DREAMS I GUESS

I don't care that i am being rated down. Its that when you get into the default rating peoples chat filter automatically filter your posts out. I don't know about you but i post for a reason. So i can get my opinion across. It isn't all about having 5.00 EXCELLENT Karma its about letting people understand what you have to say.

you don't care about the rating system? that is kewl... so why are you posting again?

[my personal opinion and congecture so do with it what you will]
The point of posting is to converse with other people. The point of conversing with other people is to know other people, and to allow other people know you. The basic motivations for conversation is to release stress and feel good. A person can feel good by making others feel good. What others feel good about can very from the original person in question to whatever the subject is about. The point being that each and ever person who submits a post on these forums is doing 1 of 2 things. They are trying to obtain information and/or help; or they are trying to converse with other people. If you do the later then you care about what other people think of you by default. This doesn't make you weak or anything, mind you. Everyone who converses cares by default.

So my arguement basically means that yes you do care about the rating system. Why? cause the rating system can be viewed as a virtual meter of how much people like you. I think that the rating meter isn't a good judge of personality though and so I view it as a game.

Sort of like seeing how far you can knock a penguin ^^.

First off, all excellent ratings for everyone.. Kudos for you people speaking your minds... Personally, if you 'go with the crowd' then that's the only time you should be down rated, besides spamming and flaming.. No need to be punished for honesty, eh? Whatever happened to having honesty rewarded? Society today, eh? :P Well, you people deserve rate ups... Dare to be different.. :D

i agree with everyone on this thread ^ ^

i'm not sure if someone mention this already in any previous posts, but is there any way i can see who rate me up or down?

if there isnt, there should be one. just so, you can ask them nicely, why they rate you down or up... it seem like most ppl rate ppl down, just cause they disagree with them, but never admit it on the thread.
