The bad acting was the reason I watched Power Rangers in the first place. Smiley: frown

There's talk over at NBC about a Witchblade series. After botching Constantine, I wouldn't hold my breath of it even being made, much less surviving. I don't think I'll never not be bitter over that. Godzilla and King Kong are going to meet soon, and Warner Brothers has coined the name "MonsterVerse" to label their shared universe. First you had the recent Godzilla reboot, the one with the two anthropomorphic staple removers. Kong: Skull Island is nearing release, followed by Godzilla: King of Monsters, and some time in 2020 we'll get Godzilla vs. Kong. Maybe Tom Hiddleston will show up in all of them.

Reportedly Dave Bautista, Drax the Destroyer of Guardians of the Galaxy, starts filming for Avengers: Infinity War today, while Elizabeth Olsen won't be suiting up as the Scarlet Witch until April. Bautista says he hasn't even seen a script yet.

Lucasfilms confirms the next installment of their decades long franchise will be Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Speaking of, a new monkey was discovered in South China and was named the "Skywalker hoolock gibbon" which I assume means will show up in a huge way then disappear almost forever, only being heard from time to time and mistaken for something else entirely.

Henry Gayden confirmed yesterday that he's writing Shazam.

CW cape shows return tonight with Supergirl, which has been slightly less annoying this season than the last. But not by much. Legends of Tomorrow moves to Tuesday after Flash and before Agents of SHIELD, and replacing it on Thursday is Riverdale.

Supergirl: You think they'll bring in something like Lobo when they start more with this hunting down of Mon-El?

Gotham: He didn't forgive him for what he did to his face. Bruce/Selena stuff I could still do without. Curious how Nygma is going to fail in his revenge plot... There is only one episode left, right? Seems we won't be seeing any answers this time around.

Lucifer: We feel bad for the Devil. Looks like Lucifer is going to go back into Hell to retrieve the doctor who made the poison.

Adventure Time is showing new episodes. But the interesting stuff doesn't happen til next week when The Island special shows all week. Similar in layout as the Marceline vampire episodes.

I accidentally caught a part of that, with the weird Grassthulhu. I hadn't really watched Adventure Time since Lumpy Space Princess raped Finn so I'm not entirely sure what was going on with that. Actually, I can't remember much of anything from Cartoon Network and Adult Swim since they became the Teen Titans Go and Seth McFarlene Channels. I do still watch the Saturday Toonami, though. Some traditions are hard to end.

They should have just kept Jerome dead and kept the mask theme going for the rest of the series. They'll probably kill him off again next week.

Gina Prince-Bythewood confirms that she'll be helming at least the pilot of Freeform's Cloak and Dagger series. She is best known for shows like The Secret Life of Bees, Love and Basketball, and Beyond The Lights. Meaning that the show will be heavy on the romance angle between the two lead characters. It airing on the channel that marathons Disney cartoons also doesn't bode well for Cloak and Dagger's origin story of being teenage runaway druggies who got experimented on with basically Super Heroin. In C&D rumors, MCU Exchange reports that they have found the leads for the show: Noah Gray-Cabey (Micah from Heroes), and Debby Ryan (Jessie from Disney Channel's Jessie). Also part of the report states that final casting is underway for The Runaways.

Some Netflix Iron Fist episode titles and directors. Luke Cage was all song titles, and it looks like Iron Fist is going to be all Shaolin Kung Fu moves.

Smiley: laugh

Couple of pictures of Dafne as X-23 from Empire. (1 / 2) Here's hoping the writers remember that only her claws are metal and don't botch it up by making her laced entirely with adamentium. Mainly because if she were entirely laced then she wouldn't be able to grow and that would be a pretty big plot hole. Then again, what does the FoX-Menverse care about plot holes and continuity anyway?

Oh, and apparently Suicide Squad got an Oscar nomination, but Deadpool didn't. Because, you know, ... no, it makes no goddamn sense whatsoever. It's for "Best Hair and Makeup" ... which they should be disqualified for just over what they did to Joker.

So the new season of Samurai Jack starts on March 11th. But it's only week 3 of their Samurai Jack "1 episode per week" airing... So they aren't going to make it through 52 episodes of Samurai Jack before the new season starts unless they step up their game.

I know I could go watch them all elsewhere, but I was kind of hoping to relive the non-binge experience, maybe an episode per day type thing, before they show the new season.

Well, there's like 50 days and about 50 episodes so you could get pretty close. Maybe a couple episodes on your days off.

Flash: I'm in no way a fan of Hipster Wells, but I am a fan of Tom Cavanagh playing different versions of Wells each season. Also its taken me ten minutes to write "speed seeking" bullets and not "speed sucking" ... which, considering the source, will probably be a thing eventually. Actually, it was a thing first or second season, wasn't it? Too much cape to keep track of.

Biggest gripe is why did Barry ask Hipster Wells about changing the future? He knows the Legends of Tomorrow personally, it's their mission to do just that. He has done it a bunch of times already. Why was it even a question? Was it for the audience's benefit? The few people that are new to the show and haven't seen a Legends of Tomorrow commercial? I'm not crazy nitpicking, am I? That was just plain stupid, right?

"Music Meister gets six figure book deal" was one of the headlines that came up. Smiley: thumbsup

Legends of Tomorrow: Okay, so the Legion of Doom was part of an "old Hanna-Barbara" show, which implies so were the Superfriends, which in turn means Aquaman is a joke in every universe.

I'm embarrassed to admit that it took me a second to catch on to the reference with the trash compactor. More embarrassing considering the whole episode revolves around George Lucas. I am a bit peeved over their blasphemous reaction to Howard the Duck, though. A classically "so bad it's good" film deserves better. Which reminded me why I dislike Lucas, he is blackballing a bluray release of Howard. Smiley: motz

Agents of SHIELD: Were we really supposed to believe that there is a clumsy robot? Also: Caught and/or defeated Doctor Doom is always a Doombot.

Looks like the script for Fox's new X-Men Family Drama series was good enough to been given a pilot order. That doesn't mean jack when you consider all the shows that become pilots that are steaming piles. Bryan Singer will be directing the pilot episode. While on Fox, it seems the "Legion won't be part of the movieverse" rumor is being changed slightly, at least according to showrunner slash executive producer Noah Hawley says it could be, in the same sense that Agents of SHIELD is part of the MCUverse. You know, they say it is but there seems to be some disconnect at the same time?
Noah Hawley wrote:
I think it’s important for us to establish this as a fully realized world with fully realized characters. It does connect and it can connect, but I’m not relying on that. I have to prove myself. I have to prove that the show is good enough to incorporate those elements from the movie world, if that were ever possible.

[...]

It’s sort of a non-starter to say James McAvoy’s going to be in my show. I’m not saying never, but certainly not in the first year of it. You’d have to pay those guys so much money to begin with. You’d have to pay them movie money in a different medium.
I'm all for that. McAvoy is a pretty good actor. I'd like Fassbender, too. Just so long as it isn't Lawrence.

ReelNewsHawaii confirmed that The Inhumans will be filming several episodes in Hawaii between March through June. Considering at one point Attilan was situated on a small island in the northern Atlantic it makes a little sense. Some of the show is also rumored to be filmed in Chicago and Los Angeles.

Sean Gunn, brother of director James Gunn, Yondu's second-in-command Kraglin in Guardians of the Galaxy, and the stand-in for Rocket Raccoon before the CGI and voice acting is put in, posted on his Instagram about a new secret project he's involved with. Can't quite figure out what that might be.

Sometime between 0800 and 0830 pacific time James Gunn is going to be live on Facebook from Abbey Studios in London to let fans listen to them record the score for Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2. I don't Facebook, so it isn't on my schedule.

John Cleese just tweeted this. Not particularly interesting, unless you note the books on the desk. There's been a rumor going around how he might be involved in the DCCU, and while it is in no way confirmation, it sure does look like something doesn't it? Of course, Cleese could also just know about the rumor and is just ****ing with people.

Tangently related, M. Night Shyamalamasaurus actually has options for sequels to all of his movies. Meaning at any time we might get more of Unbreakable and Sixth Sense, though at the same time it could also be another Lady of the Lake or Last Airbender. There's talk about it because apparently Split is actually good.

Kind of meant more like, just on TV without doing the online thing.

Also more of a comment about how CN started pretty late on the rerunning of the series, and showing only 1 episode per week when you're 30-some days away from the new premiere seemed a bit of a strange decision. I guess they could do the usual and just binge the remaining episodes the day or week of the premiere. They do seem to do that with their shows when ever anything new comes out.

I didn't realize it when watching Avatar/Korra, but the original voice of Iroh was Aku's voice. And Iroh's voice actor died during the creation of Avatar. His replacement sounded a lot like him, (you could kind of tell though). I wonder if they'll get the same person to do Aku in the reboot of Samurai Jack.

Oh yeah, Adult Swim definitely screwed the pooch on that yes. I guess there might be Netflix or Hulu or something.

The Flash movie version lost it's original writers Phil Lord and Chris Miller to Han Solo, and in turn picks up Joby Harold (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Robin Hood) to do a complete rewrite of the script. So probably don't expect it to be released in July 2018 as it was slated, which works out for Ezra since he's slated to work on Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them 2 during the same time.
Scott Derrickson, when asked about incorporating more horror/supernatural to a Doctor Strange sequel wrote:
I wouldn’t necessarily rule anything out ... That’s certainly where the comics went in the ’80s but I also think that was probably the weakest era of the comics. The alternate dimensions and possibilities of the multiverse that we set up with the first film already give limitless possibilities. What I will say is that the goal would not be to underutilize that, or to create something that was less innovative than the first ‘Doctor Strange.’ The comics, especially the Lee/Ditko comics, were always pushing into unexpectedly weird places and storylines. That has continued on into the current Doctor Strange comics, which are really great. So anything’s possible with Doctor Strange, I wouldn’t rule anything out.
ThatHashtagShow has gotten some character breakdowns for Cloak and Dagger for the lead characters. The names are obscured for whatever reason, but not exactly hard to figure out.

Tara was a plucky southern girl who grew up with everything. She was always full of light. Then an accident took away everything. Now she’s a cynic who steals from tourists to make ends meet. Life took from her. She’s going to take back. But can that light be rekindled? Series Lead.

Travis – Male. 18 to play 17. African American.

When Travis was a little boy he was fearless. But then he made a mistake and it cost him dearly. So Travis grew up in a fear. Scared of a world he couldn’t control. So he controlled what he could. Keeping his head down, focusing on school and basketball. Locking in on fear. But is that brave boy still in there? Series Lead.
No mention of being runaways or any real mention of drug addiction. They also change up the fact that it's Tyrone that's the minor street criminal. And rumor has it is is set in New Orleans, not New York. Not a particular fan of how sanitized it all sounds, but not surprised by it either. But who knows, it's not like I thought the movies and the CW shows were going to be any good and was certainly wrong about that.

Multigame partnership between Marvel and Square Enix starting with "The Avengers Project." After that it's pretty even money for Iron Man to show up in the next Kingdom Hearts. Probably as a Tsum Tsum. No real details beyond that. Hopefully Avengers Project isn't just another Ehrgeiz Square fighting game to compete with Injustice. Most likely an Action RPG.

Add another body to the pile that is Black Panther, as it's been confirmed that Andy Serkis is returning to the MCU. You may remember him as Ulysses Klaw from Age of Ultron, the weapons dealer that connected Vibranium and Wakanda to the MCU in the first place. Since Ultron took his hand, I'm expecting to see the Sonic Cannon attached to the nub. Would be neat to see some living sound constructs, too, but the movie is so jam packed that I don't really expect too much. Probably like Crossbones in Civil War. Shooting for the movie officially started yesterday. Punisher also resumed shooting, now with a clean cut Bernthal.

Marvel’s Avengers: Ultron Revolution is doing their own 4-part Civil War storyline and it will air back-to-back at 1100 AM EST on January 28th on Disney XD.

Will have to tune in for that one. I haven't been watching Disneys animated shows hardly at all.

In an unrelated note, Amazon Prime has a new series called Ronja the Robber's Daughter. Studio Ghibli was involved. I think I'm going to have to check it out.

So, I'm catching up on a few shows from last week. And am I the only one that finds it kind of weird that the evil organization leader in Supergirl is Daisy's mom from SHIELD? At first I thought it was just the white person in me thinking all non-white people look alike. But I'm pretty sure it's the same actress.

Watched the Ultron Revolution episodes of Marvel's Avengers. I don't watch the show regularly, but seems weird that Iron Man is just some disembodied voie in their head quarters now. He's like Jarvis, without being integrated into their computer system. Unless they do integrate him somehow. Things play out so much differently in these shows where they have all these characters already together. I am a bit more interested in the Inhumans TV show now. Kind of curious how they'll end up doing some of these characters. Seems like either the budget will be big, or they just won't have them use their powers at all. Which would be a disappointment.

Watched the first few episodes of Ronja the Robber's Daughter on Amazon. It seems like it's going to play out like a Romeo and Juliet type story. The Animation is in 3D... which makes it weird in Ghibli's style. I think it should have been 2D. But after the first 4 episodes I think I have gotten a bit used to it. Hoping it pulls away from the Romeo and Juliet setup and moves more toward the Fantasy realm that some of the Ghibli films I like are. So far the only Fantasy things involved are some Harpies that are occasionally taunting and threatening the main characters.

I read "American Gods" a couple of years ago. It's a solid story, though I don't see how they could to an entire series around it. Maybe a miniseries at best. If you haven't read it, you may want to give it a look before it hits the small screen. I do not recommend the sequel "Ansansi Boys", it's not nearly as good. I only read it at all because I picked up a leather bound collection version that had both books in a single volume.

Honestly, if I were to have my way I would rather see a TV version of "Neverwhere"over "American Gods". I found the world in that one far more interesting, though the ending was more than a little predictable. I could say that for "American God" as well I suppose.

Yeah, Dichen Lachman. I do that with DB Woodside when he's on both Suits and Lucifer. The Cross-Race Effect is annoying.

Some kind of Superbowl news. You know, about the important parts. WB has decided to sit out with advertising their movies during the event, but it is rumored that Disney will show at least two, with Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2 and Pirates of the Caribbean being the most likely. Fox is rumored to show two as well, one being A Cure for Wellness with Green Goblin Jr, and possibly either Wolverine: Logan or Alien: Covenant. Paramount is probably going with Dwayne Johnson's Baywatch remake and maybe Transformers: The Last Knight. Finally, Universal has committed to at least one spot, most likely The Fate of the Furious. Sony has something in line for the pregame show, but no clue if it'll be Spider-Man: Homecoming or not. Guess that doesn't really eliminate the chance of DC doing something, though. Like last year they did the Turkish Airlines thing but there wasn't really a Batman v Superman spot.

Speaking of Disney DX, their animated Spider-Man is going to hit both Spider-Island where erryone is Spider-Man, and Superior Spider-Man where Doc Ock takes over Peter's mind and accidentally gives himself a conscience, both of which start pretty strong but fizzle out about the end. Especially Superior Spider-Man. Horrible ending.
Marvel VP of Animation Stephen Wacker wrote:
Another story we have coming up on the Spidey side ... we’ll get to ‘Spider Island’ at some point. That was a big Spider-Man story in publishing.

[...]

The big one for me [personally] would be ‘Superior Spider-Man'. That was the last big story I worked on in the comics side with Dan Slott. I’m not quite sure how we get there, but I’d love to see it.

[...]

I guess also, in a lot of ways, it’s important to me that we don’t just pull from the classic stories, but [stories] that newer comic readers might recognize. ‘Superior Spider-Man’ is a good example. Not something pulled from something 40 years ago all the time, so we’re not retelling the ‘Kree/Skull War’ or ‘Spider-Man: No More.
Guy also says that for the second season of Guardians of the Galaxy he'd like to see a crossover event involving "Annihilation," which was probably one of the better storylines in the past two decades.

Filming has started for the Han Solo ... solo movie. Clever Twitter announcement.

Gotham: Disappointing end to Jerome. But not dead. So they can bring him back when ever they feel like it. Emo-Bruce is now clean shaven and trained to be a Bruce replacement. And is Jim's Uncle a member of the Court of Owls? I couldn't remember if it was the same person that was talking to the lady at the end, and shown up at Jim's door, or not. And I deleted the recording out of habit at the end rather than rewinding it to see.

Lucifer: Really liked the episode. More depictions of Hell as your own personal torment (like in Preacher). The professor was reliving the worst moment of his life. I liked Lucifer's comment, it lasts until you yourself no longer feel you deserve it. And no one's pulled themselves out yet.

More recent TV spots of the Lego Batman movie soon to come out show that not only is the annoying up beat person following Batman around, Robin... It's also his Son? (First time I saw that piece of info in a trailer today on Cartoon Network). That would mean that it's Damian right? It would be a bit disappointing, though I guess not completely unexpected given the parody nature of the Lego stuff in general, that they'd turn Damian into such a character. Edit: So looking it up, it's not his real son. And it's Dick Grayson. My knowledge of the Robins and their relationship to Batman is minimal. The only thing I had ever heard about a son was Damian.

Heh, I also did the same thing. I think it was but now I don't know. Before I really had a moment to think about it we got to see a Green Suited Nygma (under his overcoat just before he shot Penguin) which was more exciting for me. Speaking of, that's the second time Cobblepot got shot and thrown into the river.

Apparently the stress was too great, as Ben Affleck has stepped down from directing his Batman solo movie. Of course he's still going to star and produce.
Ben Affleck wrote:
There are certain characters who hold a special place in the hearts of millions. Performing this role demands focus, passion and the very best performance I can give. It has become clear that I cannot do both jobs to the level they require. Together with the studio, I have decided to find a partner in a director who will collaborate with me on this massive film. I am still in this, and we are making it, but we are currently looking for a director. I remain extremely committed to this project, and look forward to bringing this to life for fans around the world.
Really, probably for the best. Cape flicks always attract the worst behavior in us fans, and trying to multitask in these types of projects are Herculean efforts so it's best for him to take a step back. Though, it's probably highly unlikely that he's giving up much power, really. It is a bit offputting how directors are jumping ship.

Also tapping out is Peter Capaldi after this next season of Doctor Who. He was okay, but no one was ever really going to top the Fourth Doctor. Coming from straight out of left field with no real anything to even call it speculation, but Hayley Atwell did mention a while ago how she'd like to play The Doctor ...

Looks like initial rumors were off, as Deadline is reporting that Aubrey Joseph and Olivia Holt will be Tyrone Johnson and Tandy Bowen in Freeform's Cloak & Dagger.

Another Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman alum joins Supergirl. Teri Hatcher, one time Lois Lane, has been brought in to portray a "major villain" for the second season. Hopefully at some point she gets to fight Dean Cain.

Aquaman seems to be the only movie that has any kind of foward momentum. Joining Jason Momoa's Aquaman and Patrick Wilson's Ocean Master will be Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, who brings us comics like Santa is probably Aquaman's go-to arch nemesis. I'd like to mention what Yahya is best known for ... but I never heard of him and his IMDB entry is sparce. Nicole Kidman is also rumored to be in talks to join the ensamble. I guess there is something to be said that the one character that has been a laughingstock for decades now has the most momentum of all the DC properties. Wonder Woman is plagued with Gal Gadot, Superman with Zack Snyder, and everyone else is in production limbo.

Speaking of reverse momentum, rumor is that The Batman just went through a complete script rewrite by Chris Terrio, who was also responsible for Batman v Superman. Originally it was written by Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns. There's also rumblings that directing the movie isn't the only thing Affleck is leaving, and he might not even star in the movie, or possibly future movies.

Dominic Cooper tweeted an image to promote the next season of Preacher. I've got to say again, considering it was directed by Seth Rogen of all people the first season was actually amusing and I'm ready for another season, assuming they can keep it up. No premiere date yet, but we do know it'll be 13 episodes.

The Dune remake has found a director in Denis Villeneuve, who also recently directed Sicario, Arrival, and Blade Runner 2049.

There are reports that Black Panther will be filming a chase scene in Busan South Korea, a port city, and landmarks like Gwangalli Beach, Gwangan Bridge, and the Jagalchi Fish Market will be used. According to production service company Mr. Romance Film, this will be a car chase between the main protagonist, T'Challa, and "the villain," though they didn't specify which bad guy. 150 cars and more than 700 people will reportedly be involved in the shoot, as well as helicopters and guns firing blanks. Chances are that it won't be called South Korea, since most (if not all) of the film is in Wakanda.

Powerless starts tonight. Looks like a trainwreck, but much like one it's sometimes worth at least seeing it once or twice.

Ghost in the Shell Superbowl trailer got released early. Nearly naked Scarlett Johansson and some other stuff.

Powerless: NAME DROP: THE TV SHOW

Hopefully the reason the pilot was so horrible is because the full change the show went through before being made. Because that was absolutely the worst show I've seen in a while, and my standards are pretty low for cape shows. Maybe it'll get better as it goes on, as some shows do, but wow was it almost unwatchable last night.

Some pretty substantial news about The Runaways popped up last night. First, it'll be streamed on Hulu. The cast for the main six characters was also released. Rhenzy Feliz (Teen Wolf) is Alex Wilder, Lyrica Okano (The Affair) is Nico Minoru, Virginia Gardner (Goat) is Karolina Dean, Ariela Barer (New Girl) is Gert Yorkes, Gregg Sulkin (Faking It) is Chase Stein, and Allegra Acosta (100 Things to do Before High School) is Molly Hernandez. First, I think Ariela is too skinny to be Gert, and the worst thing is that her character description ("Gert Yorkes, a purple-haired, bespectacled, contemporary riot grrrl. Never passing up a moment to stand on a soapbox, Gert sometimes wields her persona as a brash social justice warrior to mask her true feelings." Gross on every level.) which makes me want to punch a baby in the face. Instead of changing Molly from Hayes to Hernandez, they could have just hired someone for Victor Mancha. As long as she has her hats and infantile personality, I guess. Seems a bit of a double standard to change Molly for the sake of diversity and then make the chubby kid skinny. But worst of all is absolutely no mention of Old Lace. You can't do Runaways without Old Lace. Beyond that, Lyrica and Virginia are pretty spot-on, and give Rhenzy an afro and Allegra a bunch of funny hats and they're all set.

In somewhat less substantial news in that Fox has decided against shooting Greg Berlanti's Black Lightning pilot, stating that "the superhero show was not a good fit into its already crowded genre drama space that includes the DC/WBTV series Gotham and Lucifer, Seth MacFarlane’s upcoming space dramedy, and two pilots, the X-Men-themed drama written by Matt Nix and The Passage, all from 20th TV." Instead, the show will be heading to the CW where it isn't crowded by the likes of Arrow, Supergirl, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, iZombie, Riverdale, and probably a few other comic based dramas that I'm probably forgetting while I write this run-on sentence.

I missed the powerless premiere, and didn't have it set to record. But sounds like I am not missing out on much. I will have to see when it either reruns (doesn't look like it will on NBC from what I checked) or when it pops On Demand. I also thought it would be a 1 hour time slot but looks like it's only 30 minutes. So will be easy to catch up on if I so desired.

Also, almost naked Scar Jo wasn't as visually appealing as I thought it would be. Smiley: frown. But I'm and cautiously optimistic about the movie. That one adaptation, Edge of Tomorrow, with Tom Cruise was pretty good.

I missed the powerless premiere,
You really didn't miss anything. Every scene was two mentions of Bruce Wayne and/or a mention of Superman/Batman/Gotham, ending with a weak joke. It was the kind of show that was designed to have a laugh track.

SUPERBOWL ... commercials

Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2: Mostly features Mantis, Ayesha, and Yondu, though the original team gets some time in the spotlight as well. Enjoying and appreciating that they brought back Yondu's fin mohawk. But as usual Bautista steals the show. As far as I can tell, no signs of Kurt Russel's Ego. Err, the character, not his sense of personal identity.

A second TV spot found it's way online. Mostly recut from the Superbowl, but a couple new shots here and there of the characters.

Wolverine: Logan: At the opposite end of the spectrum is this pretty solemn trailer. Looks to be the best entry into the Fox-Men universe, if you exclude Deadpool. Which isn't exactly the hardest thing to be considering "The Last Stand," "Origins," and "Apocalypse." Not having Bautista does hurt it in my opinion, though.

Fox also released a scene of Logan dealing with a group of "Okie dickheads."

There was also a Baywatch trailer which seems to be 21 Jump Street but Baywatch, and Fate of the Furious which is another Fast Furious movie, and Optimus Prime beating down Bumblebee in Transformers: The Last Knight. Notable in that I've just realize how busy Dwayne Johnson really is. He's like this cycle's James Franco.

Speaking of new cuts, Wonder Woman got a new one for the international market. Also mostly already seen footage, though one or two new shots including Danny Huston. Still no sign of Ares, though the toys already showed him.

Marvel is having another casting call for some background extras for both Avengers: Infinity War and Black Panther. Not really interesting for BP, as it's just for Asian men and women between 25-85 to portray upscale guests, a bartender, card dealers, and a hostess "at a very nice event" which is probably for the scenes being shot in South Korea. The Avengers, however, are looking for men and women of any ethnicity between the ages for 18-50+ for "fun" background roles. Notable about this is that they specifically want guys with long hair and beards, and emails to the casting agency should have the subject line "VIKING." Asgard scene. Smiley: thumbsup

Darn, it won't be Neil Patrick Harris as the Music Meister in the Flash / Supergirl crossover event. It'll be Darren Criss. I guess we'll see how that works out. He was on Glee as well, so that should work in his favor.

Some rumors, as the next X-Men movie is reportedly to have the working title of "Supernova." If you consider what a supernova is and the end of X-Men: Apocalypse, then it could be theorized that the next story they'll be adapting will be the Dark Phoenix Saga. Except that the Phoenix Force is less a cosmic entity and more a split personality in Apocalypse, but it could work. Can't be worse than when they tried it with X-Men: The Last Stand.

I'll be checking out "APB" sometime tonight. Looks like what Tony Stark would do with just advanced science instead of super science.

Legion starts Wednesday, so have those dvrs ready.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY DANCE PARTY:
Cybernetic Shake / Galactic Shuffle / Planetary Pectoral Pump / Ravager Rustle / The Green Machine / Groot Scootin'

First full trailer for Samurai Jack. He's shown using a bunch of different weapons except his sword, so either something happened to it or not being shown simply to cause speculation.

While watching Supergirl, I noticed a TV spot for the Lego Batman movie I thought was pretty funny. I normally don't watch commercials and just skip through them.

Batman meets the CW Superheroes.
