The whole "Nuh UH! the CSA had a different flag!" argument is one of the stupidest arguments people make. I mean, pointing it out just to be pedantic is one thing, but it always turns into "No, the CSA flag was a different flag and THIS was just the battle flag of a military unit fighting under the CSA to preserve slavery! You called it the wrong name so you're all wrong now! Haha!"

I mean, hell, if it WAS the actual flag of the Confederate States of America you could at least try to find something it stood for beyond "Fighting to preserve slavery". Well... "try". The CSA didn't actually accomplish anything beyond that.

The Immaculate Conception is a GREAT reason to be pedantic, not to be passed up, but a terrible reason to say that someone is de facto wrong about the divinity of Christ because they used the wrong term.

You're are being deliberately retarded, just, FYI.

Yeah; we know.

Everybody but you and other liars know exactly what it means. Sorry you're so stupid.Smiley: frown

Not really. Follow someone displaying that flag and you'll see it on a constant basis.

Gosh, if only the "conservative" right ran everything. Then America would be perfect!!!!!!!

Speaking of mob rule, the SC legislature has voted to remove the flag from the statehouse grounds and retire it to a museum.

Damn you, democracy!

Majority rule is when you agree, mob rule is when you don't.

Well, I don't think it should be banned. It's speech, not behavior. Other people have a right to their vile, disgusting opinions just as I have a right to my brilliant, thought provoking opinions. Opinions are like a-holes, everyone's got one and everyone's sure their a-hole doesn't stink. When you start telling people they cannot yell "Fire!" in a crowded movie theater, this is the result. Banning public displays of contemptible symbols. I'm sure Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. is spinning in his grave right now. That remarkable jurist who wrote those wonderful words, along with others like, "Three generations of imbeciles are enough." But, I digress.

Your arguments are headache-inducing because of the logical inconsistencies. The flag in question is a symbol. Symbols mean things to people who view them. The people who fly it view the symbol, and a lot of people who don't fly it view the symbol. The flag means what it means to each individual that views it. Apparently a great majority of the people who view it feel it is a bad symbol. So, go hang it on the wall in the back of your garage.

It's not mob rule because they bribed with other concessionsconvinced enough legislators to vote a certain way. But you know all that. Please don't stop trollingposting because I find that reading your posts are a shade better than working.

Thank you.

Has anyone actually advocated for it to be banned?

Likewise, has anyone said "This will stop racism"?

Gbaji's arguments are, like always, full of straw dudes.

Just from gubment locations. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well, I'm sure there's some people somewhere advocating the banishment of it and all flags be replaced by rainbows, kitten whiskers and positive vibes into the cosmos. Nutters aren't unique to that small group of conservatives, afterall. Just none really here, and none I can readily think of.

It's funny how the right fights for state rights and business rights, then complain when they choose to do stuff that they don't like.

So, gbaji, enough of you making up stories about why others fly the flag.

Why do *you* fly the flag?
