I don't know if anyone here listens to NPR but on Saturday mornings they run a great show called Car Talk. Two brothers from Boston that spent most of their time making me laugh while ostensibly talking car repair. Tom and Ray Magliozzi. They stopped doing the show two years ago and have been running old shows in the time slot, and I still love to listen. Well, Tom Magliozzi died of complications from Alzheimer's. Which explains why they stopped doing the show.
I don't know why but this news made me stop for a minute and think, probably because I've been listening to them for so long.
It was pretty apparent that they were smart people, but I had no idea until now that they both graduated from MIT. And their ending credits were always funny, just a string of dad jokes that they'd read at the end of the show (i.e., "This show was produced by, Doug the subway fugitive, not a slave to fashion Berman. Limo service provided by Pikov Andropov. Legal services provided by Dewey, Cheatum, and Howe. Catering provided by Russell Upsomegrub." and on and on). I'll miss those guys.
