I get to start raiding again tomorrow night. It's been about a month and I'm dying to heal something. All my druid has done for the last month is the cooking daily and killed Anzu a few times. Let's see if I can remember where all my buttons are. Smiley: tongue

My Warlock is trying to decide between gnomish and goblin engineering. There's nothing wrong with big explosions, but I just don't think I can resist the urge to turn someone into a chicken.

Got my 2T10 for DPS. Ran ToC10 with some people for fun.

Managed to break 10k on Twins. Pulled around 6.5k over all.

Need a better trinket setup and a separate bear and cat weapon.

Other than gem disparity why do you need two weapons? Both my cat and bear weapons are being enchanted with mongoose anymore so it's pretty easy to use the same one on both.

After my 5 month raiding haitus because of school I am back tonight to officially begin raiding with my guild again.

Time to dust off that old healing set, and start pwning those meters again.

I ******* hope they don't extend the lockout on LK 25 because I'd like to actually down some **** to get my gear upgraded.

Mazra, have you tried Tanking 5mans with mostly DPS gear with a few tank key pieces (Stam Trinket, Tank legs with stam enchant) and the blue idol that enhances Swipe/Maul damage?

Judging your gear, I would only recommend that for the original WotLK 5mans and not the newer ones. You might not have enough health to DPS gear tank PoS, etc, but I think you can pull it off for the others.

Just make sure you tank in your Tank spec. Healers will definitely notice -6% dodge and a lack of -12% damage. And glyph depending, you'll probably notice it too if your maul isn't hitting two targets.

Its getting to the point where I want ArP on my DPS weapon and something more Stam based for tank one.

Plus I have a JC gem on the weapon, which in retrospect was a bad idea.

All my alts are starting to be time consuming! The last 2 weeks i've done 12 ICC's (10&25 on 3 toons per week), 20 VoA's (10&25 on 5 toons per week), 8 weekly quests and a smattering of 5 mans to start gearing up my shaman.......and I haven't even looked at working on my Pally, Rogue, Lock or Warrior!

I am loving the fact that there are so many PuGs going all the time on my server. Transferring to an Oceanic server was a good idea (although I miss my old friends - but many of them have stopped playing anyway).

I need to get a bit more organised with my time though - such as stopping doing VoA 10 on toons that already have the T10 legs and hands - takes too long for 2 frost badges!.

I actually tried this a while back, before reading your post (I just read it ^^). Basically I just equipped my Black Heart instead of my +hit trinket and went to town with my tank talent spec. I still have about 40k health buffed (Kings/Fortitude) in Bear Form and it actually helped a lot on the TPS. AOE TPS is still awful and it takes some time for my ST TPS to get up there due to Lacerate stacking, but once I've got everything rolling, I can push out 7-8k TPS.

And 8k DPS every time Berserk is ready. Smiley: lol

Still sad that my DK puts out the same TPS in his dedicated tanking gear without trying. At least I'm not tanking raids with my Druid and tanking heroics (even the new ones) in full DPS gear is viable. Gotta love shapeshifting.

Wow, it felt good to raid again. Two things:

1) +15% ICC buff just blows my mind. It feels like a whole different instance now.

2) I gots me a new dress. Happy days. Smiley: tongue

Did some unsuccessful LK 25 attempts. I dropped a defile in the middle of the raid and I was punted off the platform as well.

Fixed those things and all was well. We were able to get him to about 40% though.

Aeth made me dust off my baby durid today. She has the highest priority amongst my alts, and as such has some heirlooms at least, and healing with her is so much more fun than with my shaman. Not necessarily more fun than with my priest, but leveling with my personal tank on Skype again makes up for what I'm not used to yet.

Plus, when he doesn't overpull, I can totally go Kitty in healing gear and try to DPS inbetween Rejuvs. I think kitty DPS is possibly more fun than Blood DK DPS which was previously the only melee DPS I could bear, so now I want to get the little girl to level 40 and buy dual spec on her. And then grow to be as awesome as Pawsome. Or nearly as awesome.

And heal on the side for near instant queues.

We've been doing a night of Lich King (10man) attempts each week for a few weeks now and should get it tonight. Last night our best attempt was 12% Smiley: rolleyes That's right, 2% off getting to the RP phase that ends the fight! We are all keen to go again tonight - Arthas had better die or I am going to be pissed! We want Hard Modes!!

The best vote-to-kick reason I've seen so far came while I was watching over my wife's shoulder as she healed SM Library on her shammy.

"Low DPS"

Okay I lied, but it got better when the tank explained it.

"The healer's searing totem is doing more DPS then you are."

We checked recount and lol'd a bit. Yay for a melee hunter without a pet. Smiley: lol

Edit:

Ooo interesting development: haste may finally be pulling ahead of spellpower for me priority-wise. Spell percentages come from my last raid, and stats weights are listed with the 2 idols I swap around.

Awakening Idol

RJ - SP: 3.491 Haste: 3.217 % of heals: 62.1%
WG - SP: 6.084 Haste: 6.665 % of heals: 15.6%
No - SP: 1.825 Haste: 2.505 % of heals: 7.8%
RG - SP: 2.430 Haste: 3.240 % of heals: 6.0%

Flaring Growth

RJ - SP: 3.491 Haste: 3.409 % of heals: 62.1%
WG - SP: 6.084 Haste: 6.999 % of heals: 15.6%
No - SP: 1.825 Haste: 2.611 % of heals: 7.8%
RG - SP: 2.430 Haste: 3.382 % of heals: 6.0%

That haste number is getting close to the spellpower one on RJ. I might actually have to sit down and think about how I'm gemming now. Smiley: wink

Next xpac I will let rogues and warriors roll/have access to ranged weapons before all the guild hunters have them. As they have been ruthless about rolling/getting them when ferals need Agi 2 handers this xpac.

One of our tanks didn't show last night so I got to fill in. I haven't tanked more than a fight or two since Ulduar was progression. I was rusty, forgot where my cooldowns were, and had my wife actively making my life harder. We at least we 1-shotted Rotface for the first time. Guess that means we finally have him on farm.

Best part is I got me a new staff. Finally I can replace my tanking one from Naxx. That plaguehound staff had a good run though, so much stamina and expertise was just a bonus. Guess I'm not surprised it lasted me a year.

So I ended up about 15 minutes late to the raid and our main Disc priest never showed up so it turned into a farm night.

After getting royally ****** by the timer in WG when we were doing Earth, Wind and Fire (literally could not pull emalon). We decided it was farm night.

Went 7/12 in about 2 hours in 25 man. I got myself two fancy tokens and picked up two piece sanctified now. I also got to run a 10 man icc, we went 11/12 and considering it was 4:30 in the morning we did LK a few times and decided to call it. Finally got my rep ring exalted as well. Up to 5850ish for a GS so I've basically locked myself into any pugs I go on.

Then the one thing I did I never expected to do....

I went the haste spec. :(

Smiley: yikes

Naw I should probably be in it myself, that extra healing on the HoTs would be nice. Our group has tried, with limited success, to get my RJ/WG % higher, but I'm starting to accept I'll always be spending too much time casting Nourish to make the switch worthwhile. Darn our 10-man setup. Smiley: tongue

The haste spec is actually better for the 10 man because you can run with the RR glyph.

25 man RR glyph.... Not so much.

Ya, but here's the hard part. I keep having to break out of RJ/WG to keep people alive. Given the amount of time I spend casting Nourish/Regrowth it would actually be a net loss of healing output for me to swap to the 18/0/53 spec. This is due to the loss of Empowered Touch and Living Seed, and despite the fact I tend to have RR glyphed quite a bit these days.

On paper the 18/0/53 maximizes my potential HPET more, but only if I can stay mostly in RJ/WG (somewhere around 80%+ if I remember right...). In practice this just hasn't proved to be possible with my raid group, though I'm probably there for content we have on farm (judging by the numbers I've posted up above).

/sigh.....

I sat out last night as we had too many online for our 10 man and the bums finally beat the LichKing. So I got to listen to the joy on vent and see them swanning around with Kingslayer titles all week until I get my chance next week - bastards!

Oh well - at least we get to to hard modes now - and from what i've heard all pretty all the hard modes are easier than the regular Lich King fight anyway, so there should be some nice loots on the way :)
