We raid 19:30 till midnight server/Paris time, which is one hour ahead of London. Some of us are online much later than that sometimes, but we don't raid that late. Delinja wouldn't be able to make that since he's effectively 2 hours ahead of Britain.

Half of us are still graveyard types though, with me, Mazra, Rio, Kali and to some extend Bever playing until far into the night.

Speaking of far into the night, I woke up at 7:35 this morning. I had an exam at 8:50, which means I had to leave the house by 7:50 at the very latest. When I did wake up, it was because Tom was awake and rummaging around, not in bed anymore and stuff. He knew about my exam. I'm just wondering why he didn't wake me up when he got up, or why there was no alarm (I figure he turned it off almost instantly which would mean he was awake at seven). In the end, I spend 15 minutes running around like a headless chicken, with many swearwords coming out of my mouth.

Plus one of the exams today went phenomenally bad. I probably got a pass, but I need a B overall in that subject for uni and if I got a B in my coursework, that might require 65% or so in that exam. But seriously, what exactly are you supposed to write when they ask you what the role of mitochondria in sperm is?

The other exam was okay (first part), horrible (second part being Hemingway) and awesome (third part being "give travel advice for a place you know well"). I finished just in time, though.

Moral support?

Hehe,

I wrote something along the lines of "supply energy for movement through making ATP" which, according to Wikipedia, is exactly what they do. This is hilarious because I didn't remember anything about mitochodria and it was a complete guess.

It was a five mark question, so I guess I might get two marks or so, but that should be enough to secure that B for me unless I did phenomenally bad in the coursework.

You should've written down "fietspomp"
At least that's what I did for questions I didn't know the answer for.

Mitochondria, isn't that the... isn't that the small thingies that make you able to lift objects with your mind, shoot lightning out of your fingers and fight well with lightsabers, even when blindfolded?

Close. It's the tiny things that make energy out of thin air!

Also, 99.993% of them (or something like that) are effectively female.

Midi-chlorians were inspired by mitochondria, true story.

Cool, solve the energy crisis, then exterminate the men.

I knew you girls were evil deep down.

So, we cleared up to Sindragosa on our last run. Three-shot BPC after almost going crazy because we couldn't figure out what we were doing wrong, and after much guild drama (as much as you can get in a 5-man guild, really) where people were demoted and re-promoted. Fun times.

Then we one-shot Blood-Queen, but I was the last DPS to get the debuff, so I wasn't top DPS on that fight, which made me sad considering it's pretty much a DPS race fight.

Oxheart dropped as the only upgrade for me, but Rawr put it only vaguely above my current item, so I let Rio (our tank who is gearing up Fury) keep it, because I'm trying to trick karma into letting the polearm drop next time. Smiley: sly

Edit: Oh yeah, my DPS has improved. I was pushing 9-10k DPS at one point during Saurfang. Then I got cocky and tried to do a Ferocious Bite of 28k deliciousness, but ended up firing it too late, getting a 8k hit of failure and dropping both SR and Rip at the same time. D'oh.

I am eternally grateful for making the LOLDELINJA rank.
It's ace to silence people who start whining about bosses being too hard, complicated, broken or otherwise blame Blizzard when the boss is in fact really not that hard.

Seriously, BPC was designed for 25 people, not 10. Way too large area, meaning people get spread out too far from the healers. With one healer being on the Keleseth tank's *** constantly, and having to move around with him when he goes to pick up nuclei, you end up with two healers having to heal two tanks and the raid.

Add some barely noticeable swirly spots on the ground that send you flying through the air like Superman, balls of fire that make people panicky and gravity bombs that are great fun if not dealt with.

Doable on 10-man, yes, but horribly awkward. And the constant target switching made me angry like... like... this guy!

I think you just need to be really aware of stuff so that you always know which abilities can come as Empowered at that point and that solves a lot of the issues.

Also, i keeled an durid today.

She was level 80, I was in Un'Goro doing my Ravasaur daily when I stumbled upon her. Basically I looked at her and she started casting Starfire and when it hit me I killed her because I didn't want to be bothered (she had not much more than half my health and I was in PvE gear, so it wasn't exactly fair).
Why did she think she'd have a chance against any T10 character?

We've been doing 10man Blood Princes in hard modes the last few weeks and it is one of the harder fights (not counting Putricide, Sindgragosa & LK :) ). I've finally managed to start noticing the swirling shock vortexes on the ground and getting out of the way before getting hit. Unfortunately, many others in the group still don't see them - including tanks.

It is such a chaotic fight with so many things to watch out for. Regular, you can often be sloppy and with the 20% buff you can get through. In hard mode, everything hits harder and you have to get it right or pay the price.

For those that don't know the hard mode - everything hits harder but you also get a dot on you every time you move. The longer you are moving, the higher the dot stacks and the more damage it does. As soon as you stop moving, the damage stops, but you have to stay stationary for 10 secs for the stacks to reset. You really have to be continually be aware of how many stacks you have and make sure you only move when needed. It certainly is an interesting mechanic to come to terms with.

I still haven't seen those swirly things people keep talking about. Right now I've been having fun chasing the our hunter (Keleseth tank) around while he picks up orbs. That and smacking the little falling balls back up when our other hunter isn't paying attention. It's fun jumping on them, watching your limbs flail around and they pop back up. Kinda like playing with a big beach ball. Like a big beach ball full of explosives that goes boom when it hits the ground. Ya I really wish the ranged could keep a better eye on them, but I suppose there's a lot going on there.

Well hopefully we'll try them again tonight. We're trying to figure out how to fit more bosses into everyone's tight schedule. I'm kinda hoping we can just skip PP's wing and go work on the princes. We will see..

Could it be graphics settings maybe? 'Cause all mine are set almost all the way down.

For example those snobold fires on NR beasts were really easy to see with good graphics, and difficult to see with low settings....

My graphics are all the way down for everything and I can still see the shock vortexes. Now D&D on LDW is a different matter, but that's easy enough to navigate blindly.

It's visible, it's just really hard to see.

Maybe I'm more prone to ignoring green tones because I banned them from my UI. No offence, Druid heals are lovely. Probably the prettiest heals in the game.
