Hey guys.
Havent' played the game for a while, but as usual, with a new expansion coming up I'm eager to get back in, When I logged on today I saw that the current LFR I had was Forgotten Depths, I assume I still need to the current one for the next one to be availeble?
Besides LFR, what should I do these two weeks before the EXP drops?
All tips and help would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't worry too much about LFR and other gear grind mechanics. The quests in the new zones will give you equal or better gear anyway. That being said if you just want to do it for the experience, go ahead and have fun. 
If you can't select a 'higher' LFR you'll have to do them in order to unlock the next one. Can't say this for certain since I steered clear of LFR for some time now. If you know some people I'd advice to do Flex instead. Even if you know no one, a Flex run with strangers might be preferable to LFR.
A good thing to do would be to check out how your class(es) play after the talent overhaul and just enjoy the game. Also, if this is your thing, be sure to pick up the pets, mounts and achievements the various events now and in the next weeks are offering (pre-expansion event, 10th anniversary, Halloween event).

I would say level alts. The stat squish you can now burn thru MoP in a few hours.
If you have gear under 497 grab Handy notes addon (with timeless isle chest locations package) run around grabbing timeless armor pieces Ilvl 497 purples, BoA so you can send em to alts. You can grab all the chests an an hour or 2, server permitting. My main toons didnt need any of this gear but my alts have full sets. Any extra you can sell for 15~30g per or DE.
I would hold off leveling any crafts til after expansion, they seem to be adding in WoD mat only catch ups to almost all of them. Otherwise Ive been going back and helping my wife with old raid achieves for mounts.
