Forgive me for the OT post (not like we're ever swamped in topics where an OT thread is really going to push relevant stuff off the front page, lol), but...
I keep reading about how the Diablo 3 AH is going down on March 18th.
That leads me to ask... did they actually make gearing up sensible in that game on your own? I remember when I played several months ago, and the chances of you finding anything decent was slim-to-none. For example, my Barbarian went from Act 1 clear to nearly the end of Act 3 before I finally found a usable weapon......that was 10 levels out of date. If it hadn't been for one I bought on the Gold Auction House, I would have been trying to use the same stupid weapon for more than 10 character levels.
Did they/are they going to do anything to improve this? Because otherwise we'll be right back to Diablo2 where everybody traded Stones of Jordan for all of the decent items and without Multiplayer, you had no chances at all of getting anything good unless you played a modded version of the game (which is impossible with D3).
I don't want to go back to an era where I have to trade gems, stones of jordan or what-not to get equipment in public matches.
