WoW: Pets and altoholism are a bad combination. I dodged the Worgen start zone by making a Worgen DK, but I needed to do the starting zone for a Pandaren in order to get their pet. After sinking the time into that, one sort of has to level the new character a bit more, right? I went Monk and they're set up so there's always just one more thing to do -- mounts, glyph slots, class quests -- and they have that handy XP buff. I have a lot of other things to do, but to the extent that I do get to play, I foresee working on my current three leveling projects a bit -- Monk, DK and Mage.
I probably shouldn't be allowed to name certain kinds of toon. That poor Pandaren ended up as a female with a splash of purple hair and the name Pandadulce. I suspect that the purple hair is a hint that I've watched too much Criminal Minds lately and she's probably lucky she didn't end up Pandelope.
RL: The weekend got an early start. Tyger has decided to strike out on her own and open a business. She has spent the last week getting things ready and will spring the big surprise on me this weekend. We had dinner together last night, then we each went back to work. Her friends had other plans. They decided that she needed to unwind, and they needed to get to meet me. So, at 0020 I get an avalanche of Wechat messages halfway asking me to come hit the KTV while also noting that it was rather late and pretty cold. Somehow, I managed to find a taxi at nearly 0100 and the taxi got me to the KTV. I'm used to ordeal by KTV, so I tossed back a cup of coffee before going out and was glad I did. We had a good time, drank a good bit, hammed things up and I made it back shortly before sunrise. Apparently I passed inspection, this may be an interesting vacation.
