The long "golden week" holiday is drawing to a close, but at least I had a bit of luck!
WOW: No sht, there I was ... logged on as a level 27 Shadow Priest. DMF was looking dead, it was supper time on the last day of the holiday. I was peacefully finishing up the fishing quest, when I saw the arena event was about to start. Eh, what the heck ... I wandered over to check it out. Oh, look, an "empty" arena! Gosh, I've never seen anything like that, nope! Imagine my surprise, I don't know if the usual quota of lurking rogues were off having an end of holiday bash, or if they were just too stunned to see a squishy, low level toon saunter in. Loot, win.
Other than that, I hauled a couple of characters through LFR's version of SoO. I suppose that counts as progress towards the Legendary. I pushed my old Mage further than I've ever managed (all the way to level 50 since he is my Tailor/Enchanter and needed to move those along) and indulged in an alternate reality in which I did not clean up a certain black dragon egg. <bleep> you and your quests, Sunny Side Up! I had moderate success gearing up; however, my Warlock seems to be overly distracted by his succubi ... he can't get any pants to drop.
RL: I over indulged in skewers of lamb. I also over indulged at the large, wholesale market up the road from me. There are a growing number of "Western" restaurants in Beijing nowadays, and a couple of the shops there carry stuff for them. I'm lighter in the wallet, but stocked up on "exotic" stuff like pasta, cheese, capers, anchovies, olives, etc. That's not to say that I didn't indulge in a few Chinese goods, I got another quart jar of minced Hainan Yellow Lantern peppers (akin to habanero), a forearm sized chunk of farm style bacon that was smoked to black, and a large bundle of rather potent Szechuan sausages. I also stocked up on German wine and beer to greet the Tyger when she gets back in a couple of days.
Yay! I'll call this one a success. Now, let's hear how things went for you!
