First off, sorry if this is in the wrong section!
I was using the trial account, then I bought the disks from amazon, and installed the game through them. When I try to upgrade using a game card I bought, I get this error when I type in the code:
You cannot claim this game card key. You have no eligible World of Warcraft accounts for this game card key.
I looked up the issue, and apparently I need to buy an additional upgrade before I can use my card, but other sites are saying that when you install the game with the disks, you can use a code which will upgrade it, without the additional cost (Since I spent thirty pounds on the thing) However, the only code that came with my disks is the one that allows you to give a friend a free trial.
Is there a code I'm missing? Surely I shouldn't need to pay an additional fee AFTER purchasing both the game and game card?

Other than the free trial offers...
You should have serial number game codes on the disc envelope(s). You could/should have more than one serial number, depending on your purchase containing any expansion discs in addition to the core game.
I'm also wondering whether you bought a completely new item versus a used/open copy.
As for the game card, it should work fine once you upgrade the trial account (thereby keeping whatever youve created) OR create a new account (start fresh) .... the serial number included with the discs should be able to do either function.

As Azaza mentioned, did you buy New CD(s) or Used?
If it are used you will need to buy a key via blizzard. If it was a new CD, there should be a Key Code either: on the CD (like a white sticker), on the CD Case, or on the paper CD sleeve. Should be like 12 #'s and ABCs, may just be #s.
