Heres the issue..
I use to play EQ and in stopped,now i want to play again.
So i install the game download the patch yhadda yhadda yhadda.
And when i go to play an error comes up reading:This application has failed to start because d3d9.dll was not found.Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
I've un-installed and re-installed the game about 3 times today and every time it does this...
Any help to fix this i really want to play?
And what makes things worse is that i already subscribed and i cant even play!

Look for a .dll patch on the Sony EverQuest site There was a bug that was fixed I believe.
Direct X 9 is required now you most likely need to install it from Microsoft website
Is there any other way to get download directx other than the mircosoft site....my windows is...lets just say illegal..
i know when you install EQ it gives you the option to download it but when i click yes it dosent.And i cant download it off the site because of the windows issue.

Many games comes with the option to install DirectX... also, many PC magazines have utilities and/or games that come with the DirectX setup file. It is not that hard to find. Good luck.
