hello,

i am waiting for the patch to patch evolution now which is taking forever but i figured it would. As the clock is ticking down im still not pinpointed on what i want to be. I am greatly needing some advice to fit how i want to play.
I want to: be able to solo, get a group on occasion, a pet, be useful in raids someday.

I have kinda figured necro, bst, mage were the most fitting but im not sure on which is perfect for me.

So any insight would be greatly appriaciated

The three pet classes have varying degrees of ability.

Necros are probably the best at soloing. With their massive DPS dots, decent pets, undead abilities and other utility, they can go anywhere, do anything. Are also good in groups, though many don't realize it. Also used in raids, but often relegated to "twitching", or pumping mana to others (like clerics).

Mages are probably the better raiders. Decent DPS. Their pets are the best, with the most variety, but the mages themselves don't have much solo utility. Their group utility - summoned items like foci and modrods, debuffs (malo?) and Call of the Hero, make them invaluable for raiding and grouping.

BST is more middle of the road. Their pets are better than Necros, DPS worse, but utility like slow, SoW, heals, and buffs make them capable of soloing, grouping and raiding with equal ease.

Don't for the shaman. Shaman is a great soloing class that is also desired in groups. The shaman is a chain wearing caster than can slow the mob's attack rate, speed up your attack rate, has buffs, dots, heals, hots, a spell proc buff and a pet. The shaman is a pretty well rounded character.

Although not the best soloer, the shaman is the most versatile. The shaman does not need a lot of space to fight and can also fight summoning mobs. The pet is not as strong as the mage's or necro's pet but it is mainly used as a free dot.

The necro is a powerful soloing class which is seen very early on in levels. The necro usually fights by kiting the mob around, casting dots while the pet is attacking the mob. The necro needs a little more room to manuver. Great class all in all.
