I really want to start playing everquest. I see EQ:Platinum as the best option, only to not be able to find it. I have went to ebgames and all department stores. As I have looked on the internet a various places. Could anyone give me a direction to go to get the game?

Thanks

I've seen the box set on shelves in various retail dept stores and computer stores in the last few weeks...it's hit or miss who may have a copy left on the shelves.

^^^all these were out of stock.

He ended up dowloading Evolution, almost as good.

Evolution, a classic collection of the ultimate online multiplayer experience, featuring the first five EverQuest expansion packs, plus the original EverQuest.

Good luck.

I checked those sites before posting and they all listed EQ:Platinum as being in stock and available for shipping.

You could try eBay. However I would be very careful in ordering from there. You could easily get a package that has the serial number already registered.

I would try calling one of the stores like BestBuy to ask if it's on the shelf. Sometimes an item shows up as not available on the internet when they have a copy or two in the store.

You can also buy it from www.everquest.com and download it digitally. This might take longer on dial-up and slower connections, but it might be the only way to obtain it.

Every Circuit City I have been to in the last few months has at least one copy of EQ Platinum on the shelves. Try CompUSA as well, I bought an additional copy there about a week ago.

I bought my copy at Fry's for 10 dollars(!).

I'm a EQ n00b. I got bored of EQ2 and wanted to see the original.

Still trying to decide what server to play on. I hope people are nice to true noobs like me on EQ.
:P

EDIT: here found one for you:
http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=314204&pfp=cat3

I bet if you walk into a FRy's or EB games, they probably have one sitting somewhere within the oldies section.
