Before I start, I have DoD, registered it, received and tried shroud, and have gone into DoD zones. I do not normally have disconnection issues.

Had a group, and got the Queen Nok Nok mission in Nektulos, got the proper window, got the first step on way to to mission/task.

Got the compass pointer. Entire group zoned into mission. Except me. I just stayed in Nektulos, I tried a bunch of times and got disconnected. Came back on halfway across map near PoK book. Joined group again, tried to zone, got disconnected. Ended up back near PoK book again. Did the same thing again and gave up. It was updating my mission as group did things.

Does anyone have any idea if I did something wrong or what? I was not changed into a fairy, but when they zoned most of the group wasn't either I don't think. It was really frustrating.

The entrace point for the instance dungeon is hard to find the 1st time.. Looking at your compass it will try to direct you to a large clumb of trees.. You need to go to the southeast side of the clump with a bend in the tree line.. and walk into the bend ..

You will not become a fairy until you zone in..

BTW I have already realized a few important steps for any of these monster missions you MUST DO!!

1) Save off your regular hot key menu. then blank it out..

2) As soon as you get into missions.. Make new hot keys for your abilities.. Spend points on AA's/monster abilities..

Note: It does not appear to matter if you die on these missions
you simply come back to the beginning. So get to know your new monsters abilites.. you have 6 hours or so to do it.. the more ya do them the better you will get and doing step 2..

I did my 1st 1 today the fairy one.. and all I did was .. move.. get agro and die 4-5 times BEFORE I figures out how to hide.. hehe

Some things I found out that may be a help to people:

The reason I could not get in is I did not "select" a monster. My previous shroud window, had been shrunk, and I guess I did not notice it appear or know that I needed to select one.

The message to that was lost will all the hailing to the NPC. Do not know why the LD's or coming back half way acrosss the map.

I have done several monster missions now, received and AA for each one. We did the BB one and I had to play as a warrior in one and a rogue in 2 (OMG my wrists hurt so bad after 3 from all the kicking, disarming, backstabbing, I am awed that melees don't all have carpal tunnel).

I am not too fond of monster missions personally. It is like playing a non-twinked alt, that is not even a class you have a desire to play, and getting no decent loot on top of it all. I may do more, but not very dam often. They were fun enough and you don't have to worry about death, but to me just isn't worth it. I looted a few fine steel weaps that I thought I could use to up my low smith skill, but they weren't waiting in the bank under shroud bank, so the already crappy loot you get, just disappears. In the same amount of time I would have received more than one AA in wos or somewhere.

The only advantage IMO is that you can grab ANY classes for the mission, which when you can't find a well balanced group is an advantage. But what you can end up with is a warrior who has never been a warrior, a cleric who has never been a cleric, etc.
I certainly felt like a noob playing a warrior and rogue, which would never be on my personal desired class list.

Fixed. I recently just finished my first three DoDH missions from BB. Starting group level range was 24 - 69. As monsters, we were all level 55.

While there is a sore lack of loot incentive - there seems to be no point to getting 100 plundered treasures; in our three attempts, we got 100 once, with no change in loot or xp - I think the xp is very nice for the small amount of time spent.

Certainly, many people can find more efficient ways to get an AA faster than 45 minutes, but I'm not one of those. So, in about 2hr 30min, three missions later, my level 69 character earned one yellow and one blue of regular xp. The level 24 toon reported earning three yellow regular xp per mission. Add to that, the risk-free environment - no death penalty -, it's hard to beat the speed of this xp gain.

edit 1: clarification above, in bold.
