What is a cheap (like 400pp and under) descent bow for a rouge? I might have to take a look on my SK, I think he has a bow that is descent (like 20/30), but not sure if rouges can use it! neways, what is a descent bow?

Why would a rogue want a good bow? You are just going to pull with it. Even rangers don't need a good bow until mid to late 50's. Buy the cheapest, longest range bow you can find.

get one with 150 range - that's a must! then pick the damage/delay ratio in favour of the damage. DAM 20/ DEL 60 would even be ok because as stated above you use it mainly at the start (and end) of battle.

I shoot at single blue/yellow-conning mobs in camps knowing that sometimes the green-conning rush with it (if they really hate me p.e.)or I overlooked one while scouting the camp so the 150 distance leaves me time to dedice if stand or run and usually is enough to cross a whole zone without them catching up fast enough to kill me.

the second shot is almost only done if the creep runs faster away than I can follow or if in treacherous terrain. a hit for 20 on a 10% health mob often makes him walk and saves me from loosing track on him.

speaking of arrows, with a 20 damage bow you can happily use or make "class 2 wood point arrow" they trivial at 56 and have material cost of 15 cp each. although my fletching is 120 I could have stopped at skill 90 to make the combine work 95% of the time because the next 150 arrow that does significantly more damage comes trivial at 182 and costs over 1p(!) per shot.

I found a Bow of the Trailblazer after LONG watching the market on the bazaar for 550 which will sustain me for a long time I think.

I used my bow twice tonight and got a skill up Smiley: smile. It is a cheap bow I made myself (on another character) Carved Elm I think. Since I spend most of my time in dungeons range is not an issue. Also I have much better things to put in my range slot than bows. Really if I was going to spend money on a bow I would be looking at the stats first and bow attributes second.

Also remember that range is the range of the arrow plus the bow. So making a longer range arrow could compensate for a shorter range bow.

Bear in mind that rogues are severely limited on archery skill but have a throwing skill and can actually crit on throws - FWIW. Of course range on throwing is a bit of a joke.

Finally the word is ROGUE.
