Opening Caskets

When a monster drops a treasure casket, the casket can be opened by anyone in the party that killed the monster. The caskets despawn in they haven't been opened after 3 minutes.

Blue caskets open immediately upon inspecting them. Brown caskets must be opened using a specific combination:

  • The combination is between 10 and 99.
  • Players have 4 to 6 tries to unlock the casket.
  • One try = an attempt to guess the combination or examining the lock (asking for a hint).
  • After each failed attempt to guess the combination, a hint is given as to whether the actual combination is higher or lower than the number you tried.
  • Thieves can use tools to receive a free hint about the combination.

Treasure Types

Blue caskets contain an array of temporary items that can only be used in the areas they were acquired. Brown items contain normal items and equipment.
