You have to kill all desert giants before Gurebk becomes targetable. This includes not only the ones in tents, but those behind the rocks as well as the named ones.

Once engaged, two a royal scorpion will spawn and attack your party.

As you kill him, you'll get three waves of desert flora/fauna that help him. Each wave has 5 mobs.

Just tried in a DZ on Oakwynd. He did spawn his adds. He is immune to slow. He was hitting for 1830. He for sure rampages. I evaced when the adds spawned because of his massive dps output. I ran back and engaged and the adds did not spawn again and had despawned. The first time I pulled him out of his hut, the second time I engaged him at his spawn point. The adds might be contingent on if he is moved from his spawn. I would say you COULD one group him in era with a fully raid geared group of war + second tank for ramp + cleric + shmn + dps. He is really rough though. My box group was SK + bard + enc + cleric + mage + wiz. If he could be slowed, I would have been able to take him, but he hits way too hard unslowed.

I did this in a DZ and when I killed all the giants, I was not attacked by any royal scorpions. None appeared on tracking, either. I simply went to the boss and attacked him. Other adds did spawn after, but not of that name.

I killed him with some people today and he didn't spawn any adds at any time. Was a tank and spank with rampage.

This guys encounter has changed. As you kill him there are three waves of desert flora/fauna that help him. Each wave has 5 mobs. One is scorpions, One is of cacti, and I do not remember what the other one was (maybe snakes).

The rest of the event is still true about having to kill all the desert giants before he becomes targetable. This means not only the ones at the tents but ALL the desert giants which are the ones behind the rocks and the named ones.

Soloed him with a 90 mage with no difficulty.

Gotta clear all the other giants to make him targettable, tougher than AoW, can take a raid down pretty fast. Mezz or offtank the adds, keep a good chain on the tank and you should be fine though. Quite a few HP

Do you think 3/4 groupes, who used to kill Towers Named in BoT, can kill a Lord?

Alright...

I'm a 62 Ranger, and my Guild is about to start farming PoS Lords, Named and start getting people their BoT Keys.

I've studied about the quest and the named mobs and such. Though I wish to make sure to be Clear.

On the Fake Lords, Are they on a specific Timer? Or can you make a Fake Lord spawn, by simply clearing all the giants?

How exactly do you get him to be targetable? Do you have to kill all the desert giants at the tent camp before repops, or all desert giants, or dont the repops matter?

At the ocean camp, getting the lord targetable required that all giants at that camp be killed. This gave us the fake lord targetable, we killed the fake lord. A new lord was now up, still a lvl 65 con, not targetable, and there we're repops. We cleared the camp again, and then the lord was targetable and of correct lvl.

Ok gave it a shot at weekend, to get him targetable had to kill ALL the desert giants in the zone, which is fairly easy. This guy however is not easy.

There is hardly ever a necessary exact number of classes, other than maybe one or two, like tanks. It all depends on the race, stats, equipment, and playing experience.

EVERYTHING within range, at any time during the pull or fight, will agro. Our monk kinda didn't read this board first and we ended up with 4 adds on the pull. Needless to say, wiped in a heartbeat. Next time I guess. Can confirm both 1481 hit and 1500 proc, same spell text on proc as Gaukr in BoT so I assume also unresistable.

These are not add's. He spawns 2 to 4 mobs when pulled, and then once more during the fight.

We just did him took us 2 tries and he hits for 1500 max and proc is 1500pts as well. I was owned after first tank died. He went through 3 tanks but sh ould never have lost the first tank. He's doable with all healers on their toes. Dropped ethereal parch, spectral parch, 3 medallions and this:

If im not mistaken this is the desert giant boss. U gotta clear all the other desert giants for him to become targetable. Nice bonus is when u pull him every mob nearby agros so have someone kite him around while u clean up adds. Quads for 1149 is highest anyone reported.
