Rare cycle

I've hunted the rare cycle for about 25 hours now, and the one time I saw this guy he was KS'd by a group who had just showed up & started camping the cycle directly in our pull path. I had already tagged him for the pull too, and taken the HT :(

I'm also there for the Hangman's noose, but the one time that dropped I lost the roll to a warrior that had joined me about a half hour before.

More recently the last 12 hours I've been on the cycle, 5 rare spawns have shown up who had no loot whatsoever, 2xFlayhte, Dragontail, and two others I can't remember the names of.

Almost ready to give up on the whole thing, but I'll give it just a bit more time.

On the good side, I've gotten 3 iksar masks and a silken cat fur girdle :)

Tough Solo Fight

Killed him last night as a 54 Druid. Initial harm touch drilled me for 701 when I rooted his pet. Went into the fight with Regrowth active to regen the HT and life drains (only 45point life drains). He casts Blood boil which didn't do anything to my health that I had time to notice. He resisted one Winged Death and got a fear to stick on me once. That dropped Form of the Howler and I didn't have SoW memmed so it got very tough at this point. Ensnare and Regrowth wore off at this time and ensnare was resisted a couple times so h got me down to under two bubbles of health before I got him snared again. Had to finish him with just ES arms and root. My 33 warrior camped at Swamp zone is now the proud owner of Grim Pauldrons and Hangman's noose from this cycle.

On Bristlebane:
Straith 54 Wanderer
Danrik 45 Enchanter
Straythe 33 Warror
Not too difficult

We Destroyed this Skeleton this evening and we didn't need a full group to do it. We had a 49 Druid, a 48 Enchanter, a 47 Warrior (he soaked up that initial 701 hp HT nicely I might add), a level 32 Enchanter (!!) and myself.

The druid just kited him around while the warrior pierced and slashed away, and I Harm Touched him as soon as the fight started. We killed him in 5 minutes of kiting tops. Not bad! Just wish I had won the roll on the pauldrons Heh heh heh.

I have heard of these pauldrons rotting due to no one in the zone being able to get to the spot where they dropped(some groups actually fight here without one of the 3 classes that can use these). If you get them, you are either good, or lucky. Guess Im a lucky warrior.

hmm it's lore no drop, so if the warrior spent a a few days in TT to hunt rares he can have it, so the next one will root.

Some info

He's a rare that spawns occasionaly when you do the Forager cycle. Keep killing Froglock Foragers and eventually you'll get on of several rare's. We were hunting at the spot where the river coming from the Swamp zone empties into a lake and found that most of the rare's spawned in that general area He's a SK with a harm touch in the 500-600 HP range, and about 9k HP's. Not much of a problem for a 50 war, 52 shm, 52 dru, 51 clr, 47 monk, and a 49 dru. He has a pet that is pretty weak.
Caster of some sort.

Soloed him last last. Am a 55 druid, with no epic. He wasn't a challenge.
