May 24-25, 2012

  • The Birthday Bash has been removed from the game for another year.
  • There's been an update to the Mystery Chests:
    • A new set of items has arrived in Sci-Fi Mystery Chests, all with a sci-fi/alien theme.
    • The chests are no longer strictly earned from dungeons. Each day, each chest type will be assigned to a different mini-game. The dungeons are still a possibility, but they may now also be found in other games such as Chess, Hack and Slash, and Mail Sorting.
    • Both the original chests and the new ones can be earned once a day. There's a new Mystery Chest window on the Welcome Screen to help you keep track of their availability.
    • For a sneak peek at some of the items, watch the latest Super Secret Stuff video.
  • To celebrate Memorial Day, members will get 30% off of all Marketplace purchases from May 25th through the 28th.
  • Amnerys posted some interesting news on the official forums: Over the next few months, you or your friends may receive emails or popups in-game with a whole host of new special offers. These offers are specially made for you, designed to give you a deal where you want it most. They’re also still in development and this first round will help us figure out which kinds of players want which kinds of deals. This means that you and your friends may receive different offers, and that some of you may not get an offer at all. Don’t panic! It’s meant to work that way, because everyone is different! If you have received an offer or have suggestions, let us know what you think!
