Prologue

A long, long time ago, a lone meteor came hurtling through the heavens, finally coming to rest in a long forgotten corner of Vana’diel. From the core of this extraterrestrial rock emerged a being of pure evil: the self-proclaimed demon king, Ullegore. With unrelenting singleness of mind, Ullegore set forth to instigate his diabolical plot to sow the seeds of boredom the world over, finding festivals—the predominant source of fun and excitement in the realm of mortals—as the preferred targets for his insatiable thirst for tedium.

However, the arrival of this entity of darkness did not escape the notice of Professor Sarmoega, genius inventor and head of the Research Institute for Paranormal Phenomenon (RIPP). Realizing the dire implication of Ullegore’s appearance, the professor made it his life’s mission to prepare his only daughter, Mumor, to become she who would restore smiles and laughter to the world in its hour of need. As years of intensive training went by, this unlikely savior of Vana’diel matured to be known and loved by her fans as “Fantastic Fraulein Mumor,” the superpower-imbued defender of all that is good and fun.

Last year’s Sunbreeze Festival saw the two nemeses, Mumor and Ullegore, finally come face to face in an epic battle that will forever have a place in Vana’diel’s history books.

Despite having conceded the upper hand to her demonic adversary early in the encounter, with sheer tenacity and the power of her fan-fueled super-ability, the Dancing Force, in full swing, Mumor succeeded in banishing the demon king back to his rancorous realm...or so it was thought.

This summer, a fearsome new menace—the mysterious Mithra, Uka—has arrived to threaten the very existence of the Sunbreeze Festival. With the stakes so high, will Fantastic Fraulein Mumor be able to again stay the hand of evil and keep all the things she has sworn to protect safe from harm?

You, too, have a decisive role to play in this battle of fun versus boredom!

I just noticed that in Upper Jeuno, near the exit to Batallia Downs, there's an event stall like the ones in San d'Oria, Windurst, and Bastok, that sells bathing suits from previous events, including the red top and bottom. I don't think the other stalls sell the +1 bathing suits, but this one in Upper J does.

I thought I'd mention it since it's not mentioned among the Item Vendors above.

Yeah, the new 100-point rewards (called "Yet another mystery box") for Goldfish Scooping are:

White Butterfly (from the Goldfish Scooping NPC in W. Ronfaure G-11)
Glowfly (from the Goldfish Scooping NPC in E. Sarutabaruta H-8)
Bell Cricket (from the Goldfish Scooping NPC in S. Gustaberg E-8)

I don't know if the Rabao F-7 Goldfish Scooping NPC offers all three of these; I haven't bothered to check.

Also, you don't only get one per reward. I mean, maybe sometimes you can, but I didn't.

The three furnishings you can make with these cute little insects are:

Butterfly Cage -- storage 3 -- Wind element
Glowfly Cage -- storage 3 -- Dark element
Cricket Cage -- storage 3 -- Lightning element

These apparently have Moghancement: Conquest for their respective nations, but I haven't checked this myself. Also, their aura strength is, I've heard, four.

That's crazy that the Dogwood Lumber and the final furnishings are going for so much on some servers. On mine, the lumber is about 3k per piece. The logs that the lumber is made from sell for about the same. The furnishings sell for about 30k per. I'm glad the lumber is so cheap, because both times that I went to Caedarva Mire, very few of the logging points were up.

Anyway, these new furnishings are cute. I wouldn't cage cute li'l bugs in real life, though.
Better if it where caged RMT

There are 3 new cage furnishing you can get by synthing the new 100 point prize from goldfish scooping.earth crystal 1Xbronze ingot 2Xratan lumber and 1Xdogwood lumber and the bug you got for 100 points. it's like 10ww/??bs with no skill you can easily make. ingots are cheap on ah rattan lumber can be purchased from elshimo region vendor, and dog wood is verry common in mamook.
The dog wood use to be cheap pre-event 3k a piece, since sunbreze they ahve gone up to 40k a pop and the frunishing itself is selling for around 80-100k GL with this BS everyone

I posted what I think should be everything you need to know to do these events on the actual Alla page for this event:

--------------------------

Here are the basics, though:

The easiest way to get the dancing part done is to use these five macros:

/cheer motion (name this macro "Cheer")
/dance1 motion (name this one "Samba")
/dance2 motion (name this one "Waltz")
/dance3 motion (name this one "Neo" or "Crystal")
/dance4 motion (name this one "Super" or "Crusher")

Target Mumor. When she stops blathering on and on with the Mithra character and actually gets to the fighting, she'll ask the audience for help. This is when you start cheering her on.

The word, "motion," typed after your emote macros, will keep you from spamming up the screen with purple text. Mumor's Mithra enemy may or may not complain about all the "incessant cheerrring."

When Mumor announces that she is about to do her special attack, she'll say something like, "Thanks for all your support! Here I go!" This is when you should stop cheering for her and instead target the Mithra, whose name is Uka Totlihn.

Be quick with your macros, and when Mumor does her special dance attack at Uka, you do the corresponding dance:

If she does her Shining Summer Samba, you do your samba.
Her Lovely Miracle Waltz = your waltz.
Her Neo Crystal Jig = your /dance3 macro jig
Her Super Crusher Jig = your /dance4 macro jig

I think they eased the time allowed to synchronize your dance with Mumor's this year. I'm not sure. But anyway, do yours just after hers, and a message will flash in yellow: "Mumor's and <your character name>'s dancing synchronized!

Target Mumor again while Uka retaliates. Mumor will ask again for your help, so cheer her on while she continues the battle.

This should happen 5-7-ish times per round.

After you've received 15 dance synchro messages, speak to the main event Moogle (not the teleport one or the vendor one). He'll give you this year's NQ yukata. After 15 more dance synchro messages, speak to him again for this year's HQ yukata.

Besides the yukatas, you may also synchro-dance for Goshikitenge, which are pretty fireworks that I love. Every dance synchro nets you five of these if you're not getting a yukata.

--------------------------------------------------

Wear the HQ yukata to play each city's mini-game in "hard" mode and receive six instead of three of the food reward items, as well as a colored prize balloon key item.

Win each of the three key items from winning on hard mode in San d'Oria, Bastok, and Windurst, then speak to the main event Moogle (not the teleport one or the vendor one) to receive the hideous blue and gold two-piece HQ swimsuit -- Top +1 and Shorts +1 -- that you may use once per week for a free teleport to Purgo-Norgo Isle.

If, like me, you already had this +1 swim suit top and bottom, you will receive a "colored drop" medicine item (black drop, clear drop, green drop, yellow drop, purple drop, blue drop, white drop, or red drop). You can receive them all if you keep collecting the prize balloon key items. Each color boosts a different stat for 15 minutes but will give you "medicated" status for one hour.

The mini-game in Windurst is, to me, trickier than the Sandy and Basty ones. It's not too bad, though. It's called "Chocobo Chick Catchery." Play by speaking to Rokor-Makor @ K-12 Windurst Woods. It's cute. You must catch Chocobos but avoid Mandragoras. The food reward is Cotton Candy x6 on hard mode; x3 on normal. Key item reward for winning hard mode is a Green Prize Balloon.

The San d'Oria mini-game is "Spot the Difference," and it's very easy. Estiliphire @ H-9 South San d'Oria. Food reward: Melon Snowcone x6 on hard mode; x3 normal. Key item reward for winning hard mode: Red Prize Balloon.

Bastok's mini-game is "Shootin' Gallery." Shoot all the mobs that appear -- except Fairies! This is the easiest game -- to me, anyway. Klaas @ K-8 Port Bastok, south of Beligen Square. Food reward: M&P Doner Kebab x6 hard mode; x3 normal. Key item reward for winning hard mode: Blue Prize Balloon.

I did this on a mule too, to see if you still get the +1 if you don't have the NQ blue swim suit. You do get the +1 for the prize balloon key items, even if you don't already have the NQ.

And again, if you already have the +1 ugly blue top and bottom, the Moogle will give you a colored drop medicine item.

-------------------------------------------------------

I haven't done the goldfish-scooping yet this year. I'm hoping for some cooler rewards than last year. Some of those fireworks stunk! But the goldfish sets were good since they're used in crafting little goldfish bowl furnishings.

Anyway, have fun!

[Edit: Woot, new rewards for goldfish scooping!]
