On Tuesday, July 29th (today!), Sony Online Entertainment's Director of Development, Dave Georgeson, and Landmark Senior Producer, Terry Michaels, will be joining LockSixTime for a Landmark play session livestream! Join us this evening and tune in on the ZAM Twitch TV channel at 4pm Pacific (7pm Eastern). See you there!

UPDATE: The recording is now available after the jump, or catch the text highlights here!

SOE Grants Members Two Free Days

Sony Online Entertainment has been plagued by DNS problems since early Tuesday morning, causing players to intermittently be unable to access SOE websites, forums, and games. Today SOE issued an apology on their forums (if you can get to them) and social media:

We deeply regret the recent service interruption. We will be adding two days of membership time to all members’ accounts.

Because domain registration can take a while to filter through internet service providers everywhere, players may continue to have issues. In cases like this things are usually completely resolved within 48-72 hours. If you don't want to wait, you can also try to flush or map your DNS.

SOE Live Player Panel Schedule Released

Sony Online Entertainment has published the list of twelve Player Panels that will be featured at SOE Live. These player-run panels, some new and others familiar from last year's event, offer a wide variety of topics for attendees to enjoy. ZAM will have two of its number on player panels this year: LockSixTime will be on the Social Media & Streaming panel, while Cyliena will once again be on the EQ2 Hardcore Decorating panel.

SOE Live Premium Pass Contest

The contest has ended!
Congrats to RannDragonsbane!

What could possibly be better than looking at a picture of Sony Online Entertainment's resident dwarf glowing ominously upon EverQuest II's producer? Experiencing a moment like that yourself!

We've teamed up with SOE to give one (1) winner a discount code good for two (2) SOE Live Premium Passes! Continue after the jump for details on how this contest will work!

SOE Live Updates: Extra Space and More

Linda "Brasse" Carlson has been posting updates all over today about SOE Live. SOE has managed to score more seat accomodations (meaning more premium passes can be sold), an experimental improved smart phone signal and more.

Confirmed: increased area of grand ballroom to accommodate 150 more Premium Passes. We will sell tickets online right up to event time (unless we sell out).

Confirmed: hotel has "increased nodes" in ballroom in an attempt to improve smart phone access - to be tested at the event! Initial tests by staff are positive, but huge numbers of people do weird things to cell reception.

Confirmed: Player Got Talent auditions to be accepted SOON - as in tomorrow. Start practising!

Confirmed: International attendees CAN participate in our awesome game tournaments this year!

Confirmed: EverQuest players lead the pack of 1542 people registered with 520 attendees, well in advance of second place EQII with 392.

Confirmed: Dead Carpet event, the Zombie Prom Party - we WILL have a zombie-themed drink special. I hope it does not contain gross lumpy or chunky bits.

Stay tuned for an awesome SOE Live contest launching on ZAM later today!

She has been awarded a $10,000 scholarship for her college tutition and will have a 10-week paid internship at SOE this summer, working on both Landmark and EverQuest Next.

"Someday I hope to collaborate on games with the same quirkiness and whimsy of games I grew up on. I'd love to create something that pushes people's imaginations and makes them remember their gaming childhood."
