Yikes! people, listen: it's inflation, pure and simple. no matter what you do there will always be more gil coming into the game. if people buy their gear from NPC isntead of the AH, however, it's possible (though VERY hard) to counter the influx of large sums of gil.

and c'mon folks: it's a game. so the price of your next sword or staff goes up 2 over the course of a week, that just means you have to farm faster, no big deal, right? and if you don't liek the way prices keep goign up because of fishing bots bringing in more gil than normal, then there's a very simple solution:

don't play.

got a problem with people (who may/may not be bots) charging 500 gil for a tele?? get your WHM lvl to where you cna do the Teles yourself and offer them for less, or for free. *shrug*

it's supply and demand: people want it, and there are those that offer it. if you make a better deal on it than the other guy and keep doing it, then other guy will have to cut his/her prices to bring back business.

When i buy from the AH, i do what i can to buy at the lowest price i can find. the more people we have selling at lower prices, the better off the economy will be because even though there's mass amounts of gil floating around, it just means that and sort of gear will be available to those who need it.

(that's an idealistic setting, i know, but it's a lot nicer than beign forced to put yoursefl in the poorhouse when you hit your next gear upgrade)

I mean c'mon... look at the offline FF games. Potions went for what: 50-100 gil? and on FFXI the average potion price (NPC) is 900+?? wouldn't it be nice if we could all buy potions at a whim??

anyway, my point is this: if you don't liek it, get to gether with your buddies and CHANGE IT! the game's supposed to be about community, not who can ***** the other guy over the worst.

Somebody isn't a happy taru. BE HAPPY! As for your free teles, your ruining it for other people, you idiot. Do you ever think of anybody but yourself? I'm normally a nice person, but you p1ss me off.
Although I've decided to be a monk, I still have a 42whm, in which I have offered a taxi service. I've done it for several hours during weekends, and all I can say is, if you plan on doing it, you'll be blisted by me, as well as any other whm who tries to make a few gil. Why? 'Cause nobody will pay 500-1k instead of a free ride. So then those whms will tell their friends, and those friends will tell other friends. You'll ruin a decent business and source of income for many people, just to satisfy your own desires. If you don't like Waitmagic or Saitaiyang, that's your problem, not everybody elses.
These aren't the gilsellers you should be concerned about, the ones who camp NM's, then sell the drops at raised prices. Pretty soon we'll practically have to buy fake money with real money just to get our hands on one fake item. Those are the ones we need to worry about. Wait and Sait are easily defeated, just don't use their services. It's alot harder to stop NM campers.
