Heinlein, Asimov, Eddings, Tolkein, Jordan (Agh, finish it already!), Weis, Lackey, Hickman, Ian Douglas, Ludlum, Clancey, the list goes on. And yes, the wasted Dekology (now used for fireplace tinder). Not all sci-fi-fantasy, but all good once in a while.
Favorites would be selections from each - Cat Who Walked Through Walls, Number of the Beast by Heinlein are up there. But the Rigante series is fresh in my mind...
