I played the first bit of the tutorial. I'm way too early in into the game to have an opinion yet. I'll get into it a bit this weekend and we'll see how it goes.

Played for about... 6 hours? And I haven't done the "Proving" story quest yet. So I'm still running around the starting area.

The game is far more Far Cry, less Skyrim. But it's not a bad thing.

I think this game is going to be shadowed by Breath of the Wild though. (My Switch and copy of Zelda will be here on Monday, so I'll be playing Horizon over the weekend).

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is 77 cents on Steam right now. Not sure if it's a sale error but it's a good deal for a single/co-op game.

Apparently GMG has Mass Effect Andromeda for 43.99 right now. I still think that price is more than it's currently worth, but if you're not holding out for 70% off and are instead happy with 24% off, well, here you go, I guess.

I finally finished working on a complete rebuild of my gaming PC, which thanks to some parts causing more trouble than they were worth, took about two weeks. In that time I've spent quite a bit of time playing Horizon Zero Dawn.

My overall impression is that if you like open world action games, than you should pick it right away. I would compare it to the Witcher 3 in terms of quality. The story isn't as good and isn't in any way tailored to your choices, but the trade off is that the combat is more fun and much more tactical. Even the weakest machines can hurt you pretty badly if you let them. The strongest ones take several minutes to drop and involve targeting weak points and using the right types of weapons and ammo. Though, I have found that if you can hide behind something large enough to break line of sight, you can pretty much cheese any mob to death.

This is the game that makes me glad that I bought a PS4 Pro. The game has beautiful graphics and a fairly detailed game world filled with lots of little nooks and crannies to explore. I haven't gotten into the story much, I've been exploring the world, taking down cauldrons, and collecting the collectibles. In a bit over thirty hours, I've hit level 34, gathered up all of the best weapons and taken down most of the harder mobs. I've had ball doing it. My only real complaint is that at least so far, I don't really care about the story. I've heard that it gets good eventually, but so far I haven't seen it.

After having taken temporary leave of my senses I decided to risk $7.49 (I had a 25% coupon) and gamble on one of GMGs Loot Boxes. My results were predictably terrible. The only item out of the ten that I'll be keeping is the $2.00 coupon. The rest I'm putting here for anyone that wants to add some crap to their Steam account. It's first come first served. If for some reason you take one, or even all of them, leave a comment to let others know that the key is no longer valid.

Enjoy...?

HumbleBundle has a THQ Playstation bundle up. The $1 tier has some interesting stuff, including Red Faction. The mid tier has PS4 versions of Destroy All Humans and a couple others. The $15 tier has PS3 and PS4 versions of Darksiders and some kind of MX vs ATV motocross thingy for both systems.

If my buddy(whose account I can access from my PS4) doesn't get the high tier for Darksiders, I'll probably end up just grabbing the $1 tier myself, as Arcania looks like it should be worth at least a buck.

Bayonetta is out on Steam today for $20, a definitely buy if you like character action games like Devil May Cry. Buy it so Sega will consider porting Vanquish as well.

A little cheaper here. Looks to be about $16.50 depending on exchange rate.

Edit: It's $16.15 from Nuuvem with coupon code MEUCUPOM. Works fine in the US; purchasable through their US store portal.

If you have the other SR games in your Steam library, you can use GOG Connect to add them to your GOG library as well. Only nominally useful but it does upgrade you to the complete editions of 3 & 4 (for the GOG copies, of course) if you only had the base games.

Does anyone here play FFXIV? Amazon gave me a code for some free DLC but I have no interest in the game. Just PM me if you want the code, first come first served.

Code has been claimed.

My brother and I play. But we both bought 20 dollar PSN cards thru Amazon and got our Flying Nimbus mount and Journey to the West themed outfit and weapon.

If you don't have a taker for it after a time, I would take it and do a mini giveaway in my Guild for anyone that doesn't have it.

Unless it's a glitch and gets fixed, if you buy Bayonetta and Vanquish together on Steam before May 25th, it's 25% off each as well ($15 each)

I struggle to imagine a set of circumstances where the six people reading this forum DON'T own Alan Wake but...

Alan Wake will be 90% off tomorrow & Sunday on Steam. On Monday, it's getting pulled from the store due to expiring music licenses so this is the last chance to buy it via Steam.

Humble Bundle has a Spring Sale going on.

Deals I consider worth getting:

Killer is Dead for $3

Hitman: Complete First Seasn for $27

Legacy of Kain Collection for $4.50

Metal Gear Rising: Revengance for $7

Metal Gear Sold V (Both GZ and TPP) for a total of $12

Edit: I just noticed they're giving me an extra 10% off because I have a Humble subscription, so prices may be higher than what I posted.
