2 Classes I WISH they'd Add...Follow

The beserker class seems all right. However, I also think that an Enchanter Warrior class or some sort of class concentrated on Ranged attacks would also be interesting. They need to add some original classes that isn't really based off of other classes also.

I cannot imagine another class. Ranger seems to be a ranged melee type.. never played one though.

Races are a different story. I want to be a Sarnak. Sarnak wizzy. I always liked the little dance they do when the adherents cast.

What other type of class could there be? If they try the Warrior -wizard thing thats all you would see. All of the classes have to have some type of weakness.. otherwise why group?

I did not say a warrior/wizard class...I said an Enchanter/Warrior type class...like a Cleric is to a Pally, and a Necro is to a SK. The enchanter/warrior type class would have limited mind type of spells starting at lvl 9. They'd have limited mezzing abilities so you wouldnt have to rely on a bard or chanter all the time to add to your group.

As for completely original classes...I've had a few ideas: There could be a class that will rely on taking form of different animals and monsters. When you take these forms, they yield certain abilities. For example: If you take the form of a spider, you'd beable to slow, and poison your enemy. Youd get new forms as you gain levels.

Those classes sound great until you attempt to balance them out.

With Warrior/Enchanter combo would just be too powerful. Think about it, stats and damage of a Pally or SK with ability to mez and/or cast C2+.

The shape changing class would be very fun to play, but at what point would you draw the line on what they can and cannot do? They seem like a jack of all trades. i.e. become a rock golem if you need a tank or a spider if you need someone to snare/DPS. In the end what you would see if a full group of this class in different forms to perform the various functions of a group.

I think that EQ has just about all of the classes it needs...maybe too many with this new Berzerker class. Races would be fun, but not something I care a lot about.

I feel there are enough classes. adding anymore hybrids would just cheapen it for the other classes.

I know you did'nt say Warrior-Wizard. In Ultima Online, a player could mix a number of characters classes together. It was a game of hybrids ( this goes back 4 years ago now). The Idea was that the choice of character would be very individual and the Ultima World would be populated by myriad toons. Did not happen that way.

Although this seemed like a fun thing to do, the vast majority picked the Warrior-Wizard. It was a very powerful toon.

In EQ, an Enchanter/Warrior would be way too powerful, just like the Warrior/Wizard. How would this be like a cleric to a pally? or a Necro to a SK? I don't get the comparison.

How bout a Warrior/Enchanter/Cleric? Then you don't have to rely on anyone :)

After a while it gets silly.

well, if you think about it, not hard to ballence, just limit thier weapons to blunt and armor to non-plate, and to keep good stats for both classes woul be hard, wisdom/intelegence or dex/STA/STR?

If any of you play ffx-2 then something like the gunmage would be cool. They have ranged capabilites and are adept at arcane magic, but are not masters of either. they have low ac and hp iirc (to compensate). Mind you they have ranged capabilites, not meelee. it would make a cool class. Or a wizard with higher ac/hp and lower int that could weild more powerful weapons. it would be a fun class to be, but i have to think of a more balancing factor than loss of int (it can eaisily be raised) amybe a loss of spells (i.e. all port spells, maybe others)

The one class I have always wanted to see is a monk/magician combo. You get beastlord pet proc spells that work on yourself and imbue your fists with elemental type damage. An enchanter/warrior combo is just a bard.
