No clue how many people were actually taken in that teeny tiny window that they had registration open, but I and a number of my friends got in. If any other allah's posters got in, and want to get together to test some things and explore, just let me know. Will probably put a few groups together and see what trouble we can get ourselves into. During LDoN beta I tested a lot of the raid content, and while the devs I think did a great job under their time constraints and all, I'd kind of like to do it on my own this time to give better feedback and see things like that go live a bit better tuned.

Eh, I saw the offer but honestly after seeing how the "testing" of LDoN went, I wasn't too inspired this time around. I don't so much blame the Devs for the LDoN thing (i.e. 95% people jacking around on betabuffed 65's trying to kill Freeport newbie guards and soulbinders vs 5% actually trying to test lvl 40 content) but it was enough to disillusion me Smiley: wink That and the fact that I have little intention of buying GoD. Nothing about it has interested me so far... lackluster bard AA, a new class I'll never play, etc. Yippee!

Tell me they're not doing the Betabuff crap again. Please?

SoE has no clue how to properly beta test things. the only beta that was ever handled properly was EQ classic, and that was because 989studios was in charge back then not even VI. the beta was rather good and the devs listened to the players and fixed 90% of the bugs that were game crashing issues half way though beta4. they had the rest of the known bugs fixed prior to going live with the game.

ever since then things have been happen chance. yes it was worse, much worse under VI, but the same ppl are in charge, just the 'company' of VI has been removed from the picture. its still basicaly the same group of ppl in charge of the Devs, and QA departments. thus nothing really has changed.

as for buying this new expansion. i am in no hurry this time around for a few reasons:

1. to much ******* spam from SoE about it and about their last RTS that had nothing to do with EQ.

2. it will be broak for months with a new class introduction and i want nothing to do with that.

3. no real content i care about. its a 50+ only expansion. yes i have a few toons in the 50+ game, but you know what. i have not experanced all of the current 50+ game. no need to buy something ill not use any time soon. heck ill prob. not even buy this one for a year or so.

so with #1 and the history of EQ expansions not working as advertised upon release ill not buy this expansion anytime soon, and i hope anyone from SoE reads this post and takes it to heart, but i doubt it even if they do read it. they could care less and have proven so with thier actions of the past.
