I have used the site for quite some time, and I am totaly baffeled why the drop lists are not in some sort of Logical order.
When using the Search for items option:
https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/adv_search.html
Class drop list is not in any alpha order
Race drop list is not in any alpha order
Slot drop list is not in any alpha order
Limit Items with stats drop list is not in any alpha order
Sort Items by drop list is not in any alpha order
Yet Effect, Zone, Aditional Bonus, and Augment type are in alpha order.
Logic would seem that you would want ALL fields to be in an alpha order.
Anyone have any idea why this has been done this way, and left this way for so long?

Maybe I misunderstand you, but all the results are sorted by what you designate in the "Sort Items By" drop down fields. It defaults to AC primary and hit point bonus secondary so if you are searching for say weapons, it's going to list ones that give AC first, HP second and the rest will be mixed up.

When going to the search page, you have drop lists to change your Search Criteria. The various field that you can select race, class etc... Those lists are not in any logical order...
Lets say you want to do an Iksar Monk finger items.
select the race drop list... Iksar are not in the proper alpha order of the races. Monk is not in the proper alpha order for class. Finger is not in the proper alpha order for slot.

Ah, yeah, nevermind.
Although my assumption was that the lists were ordered by popularity. Warrior is #1 because they are more depenadant on items than any other class, ditto for sort list: AC is king, weapon ratio next, etc etc etc. Could be wrong, but I prefer it the way it is. Which may be because I'm used to it :P

I think its because all the different vaiables seem to be assigned a number (ie Paladin is 6, Cleric is 7) and so on. That is the order they appear in. How they got assigned in that order is another mystery.
