The job availability structure changed on November 5, 2009. All jobs are available to all players up to level 5, at which time they require Membership. Once you hit the free level cap you will be choose the job but the minigames and quests will be unavailable unless you are a Member.
The Adventurer, Pet Trainer, and Card Duelist remain 100% free to play.
If you created a character before November 1, 2009, that character uses the old member job structure:
Most jobs unlock by simply talking to one of the basic trainer(s) you encounter in that profession. Some jobs, such as Postman, can have an introduction quest that is given to you by interacting with an object in the game world, and leads you to the trainer(s) who will unlock the job. A few jobs are blocked from being unlocked until you meet a select requirement (experiencing a job-type first, or membership).
There are alternate methods of finding trainers that will unlock the job for you. Unfortunately, this will only work on certain jobs, but if you're having trouble finding a trainer, try it out!
Certain interactable objects within the world will automatically add a quest to your journal if you do not have the job associated with it yet (the exception being the Brawler; this one only is added if you have no combat jobs at all). The quest will pop up a marker that directs you to the nearest trainer that unlocks that job!
The Adventurer job is automatically unlocked for you if you choose to skip the Sacred Glade Tutorial.
| Job Name | Object Type | New Quest Name |

| Postman | Postboxes | It's all in the Training! |
The Statistics for a Job are listed on the About Me section of the Job window. These Stats effect how a character performs in the Job related Mini Games. Increasing Job Statistics can increase a character's performance in Job related Mini Games. Job Statistics can be increased either as a character's level increases or as they obtain Job related clothing, weapons, tools, accessories, and shards that include bonuses for Job Statistics. Any Job related item (clothing, weapon, tools, accessories, and shards) that includes a Job Statistic bonus will be shown at the bottom of the tool tip for that item.
There are 4 general categories of Job Statistics:
