Yeah I agree with Snailish. I maintain six accounts current and buy new xpacs for all of them and I still think it's cheap money for the entertainment value. I may change my mind next year when some of my very long pre-paid subs (paid with SC back when it could be had at big discounts) start to run out. I'm hoping I can pharm enough plat to maintain some of these accounts without spending RL, by buying kronos with plat.

It's easy to dump on the game devs for everything that isn't perfect. Ironically, then some of us will get nostalgic for previous ownership/management. I have no doubt in a few months Sony will seem like it was the best MMORPG company ever, just like some people have fond memories of EQ under Verant. But they all had their downsides and we have to remember what's a GAME to us is a BUSINESS to them and therein lies the rub.

Shrugs. I pay for one account (with lots of sub lapses over the years) and an expac about every 4 years. For what I get out of (my rather casual barely touching it) playtime I think it's cheap.
