Against the Void Expansion Coming Out in February

SOE has announced that Against the Void, the sixth release for Legends of Norrath, is coming out in February. The expansion is the second part of the Ethernauts trilogy and will add more than 280 gameplay cards to the mix. For fans of in-game items, there will be 16 new loot cards each for EverQuest and EverQuest II, including new mounts, illusions and your very own traveling band.

There will also be a new keyword on some cards to add to your flexibility while playing. The key word "Attuned" will change the card's faction to match the player's avatar. Speaking of avatars, "Against the Void introduces new Fae and Arasai playable avatars and features units representing Knights, Gnomes, Orcs and Iksar."

While no release date has been set, you can expect to see this expansion next month. Check out the official site for more information.

Legends of Norrath is offering a new scenario this holiday season with great gifts for players who can defeat the nasty Mr. McScroogle! For a little taste (pun intended, sorry) of their offerings, here's a list of desserts you can make both in-game and with real ingredients for your Thanksgiving table.

Or, if you'd prefer some challenges, test your writing skills with the Turkey Adventure or your ability to modify screenshots with the Turkey Shoot. Both challenges end Dec. 2. There's even an extended loot tournament until Nov. 30 in Legends of Norrath.

Play as Jaled-Dar in New Ring of Scale Scenario

There's an all new Ring of Scale scenario going on right now in Legends of Norrath. You can log on and play the role of Jaled-Dar, the mighty-flying dragon of the Ring of Scale, until Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. PDT. If you defeat Ganak, you'll win the Visage of the Ice Golem loot card for EQ or Vision of Fury loot card for EQII based on your loot preferences.

In Kunark long ago, the winged dragon lords of the Ring of Scale waged war with the airborne Iksar army mounted on their flying Sokokars. Ganak – son of Atrebe and emperor of the Iksar – met with Jaled-Dar – mighty-winged dragon of the Ring of Scale – in a legendary aerial duel over the Field of Bone. They were both incinerated by magic and fire as a result of this battle. What if one had prevailed? How would history have been changed?

LoN: Announcing Changes to Sprint Tournaments

Players asked and SOE has listened, and is making quite a few changes to Sprint Tourneys!

So, how does this help those of you who can't play in 10 or more events per week? Glad you asked. We'll be using a new calculation for the Sprint totals. Each week, Sunday through Saturday, you and everyone else will receive Sprint points for only the best four showings. For example: You had a great day on Monday and placed very well on the two events. Tuesday was a terrible day, and you just couldn't get your deck to work. On Wednesday, you rebounded and placed well again. For the rest of the week, you played OK. You'll receive points for the Monday and Wednesday events. The rest does not affect your schedule.

For full details, read the official rules. The tournament is limited to 256 entrants. You must be 18 years of age or older to participate and be a legal resident of the United States.

Seeds of Destruction: Unfolding the Lore, Pt. 3

This is Part 3 of the Seeds of Destruction "Unfolding the Lore" series from EQLive. It centers around the story of the Battle of Bloody Kithicor:

Bloody Kithicor

Two great armies converged on the Kithicor Forest for one of the largest and bloodiest battles in Norrath's history. Lanys T`Vyl, the Child of Hate and Firiona Vie, the Chosen of Tunare brought their armies to Kithicor to wage war for the fate of Antonica.

Firiona's relentless quest to keep the forces of evil at bay had all led to this. If her forces were to fall the fate of her world would belong to the Teir'Dal. Lanys hoped to impress her father Innoruuk, and be the instrument of his hatred against Tunare and all the forces of good.
