Having backpack troubles in everquest 2?Follow

it is saying that my inventory is full even though i have emptied almost everything out, any ideas?

I think when you have things in your inventory slot, when you hit C, there should be a huge dialog box with an arrow pointing to that corner. This confuses so many people. They get the big, red "Your Inventory is Overflowing!" message right, but after that, it leaves new people saying "so how do I fix it! " <-- they're making that face too, I swear.
